hi one thing what surprises me is how come biocon is pursuing in 105 so confidently when big companies like pfizer and teva have abandoned these type of projects as they felt it was a risky proposition and could end up in losses. But biocon seems to be very confident in pursuing such project which has been already tried and abandoned by other major companies before.

Dear Shenoy that clearly explains why the price is dropping. Biocon has to have insurance for claims in case of fatal sideeffects of the oral drug. Thanks

hi pgps bhai, this is called in 105, i was expecting this kind of news only after bonus in sept but it came a bit early, so what about those who sold in eye qwash-result day at 370, should they buy again for now on this news , i dont think so... what is your view

swamy bhai, are you still stick to your target of 500 by bonus, yaar pls explain as i have too many biocon shares which i have to sell before bonus.because i am in selling and singing mood in sawan month.sing..
psqs tere dil men aaj kya hai , bolo to main tumhen batadun,
kyonki jo tumlog likhte ho uska ulta main karta hoon,
aur main sidha likhta hoon tumlog ulta samjhte ho,
biocon 348/360/375 par kharidne main kya burai tha , aur use 390/405/410 par bechne main kya galat hai.
ab mere pas 405/445 ka bacha hua hai usko main 435/475 par bech dunga.
bolo gana kaisa laga , maja aaya...

keep singing and selling and earning , outlicensing will be in 2009 june onward, so enter this stock during jan2009-april2009 biocon is a must buy before outlicensing and amust sell till bonus, if price goes further up which is likely...

bad news for me is that price is up so sell , good news will be when price will go down then buy, very simple psgs.. buy at every low sell at every high , but few hv patience/money/courage availabe at low.......

stock is up on bad news, then becho naa, only sell sell and sell, golden rule of trading price goes below 400 only buy , price goes up only sell......cheers saveraji you must have booked profit also.

Bangalore-based Biotech major, Biocon Limited has informed that the members at the Annual General Meeting of the Company has finally approved the issue of Bonus Shares in the ratio of one fully paid equity share for every equity share held in the Company.

Further the company has announced that the Board has fixed September 12, 2008 as the record date for determining the eligibility and other conditions pursuant to the aforesaid approval by the members.

Last month, Biocon launched the drug Abraxane in India as a single use 100 mg vial, which is used in the treatment of breast cancer.

The company for the first time has reported a 72% decline in net profit at Rs 15 crore for the first-quarter (Q1) ended June 30, 2008 as compared to Rs 53 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of last year.

The stock has corrected over 35 per cent in 2008, under-performing the broader indices and now trades at Rs 405, up 5% compared to its previous close. Traders with short-term perspective can buy the stock with a price target of 440, while maintaining stop-loss at Rs 390....
