A PE of 2 ? And then a fall of 60 to 80% ? Moneycontrol data shows it is currently enjoying a PE of 6.95 !...

PE and other parameters of a stock are readily available on most stock market sites (like moneycontrol). In case you are looking at PE to reflect the valuation of a stock then my word of advise is to not blindly buy stocks based on PE. A stock with a low PE does not always mean that it is close to the bottom. Stocks like Ceat, Prajay Engineers etc., have had a PE of 2 since more than 6 months but have still falled by more 60 to 80% in the last 6 months alone.

I dont agree to your logic of falling oil prices being not goood for Ethonal..I believed similar logic in 2007 and noticed that in mid 2008 when crude reached 147$$/b the same logice didnot reflect in market price of Praj which should have crossed 300 Rs.
On the other hand India is hungry for Engergy...we still import oil and pay dearly from our treasury..all petro and by-products distrubuted are subsidised. so I dont think the international price of crude oil should have much effect on Praj valuation. Ethonal strategy in on going process..the question is how it is derived..Sugar industry ?? that wud make the one of the few things left sweat in life of poor man to be more expensive.
I was really looking forward to some action on this counter during April when Praj announced it had innovated technology to derive Ethonal from Bio waste...I guess we need to wait for that Tech to catch on.
I have strong faith in Praj..its price recovery, management and their ability to have tide over the current phase....

Falling oil prices is not good for ethanol and therefore Praj. Sell now and buy later when price falls to 42. Based on todays 12% fall, should see a bottom of 20-22.

20-22 too pasimistic inthis kind of falling market it may make a low of 40 any short rally would take the stock to near to 100 mark,do not forget more than 10% equity is hold by big bull RK who has incraesed his holding recently...

i totaly agree wth you,the foresite of this managment is very good ,they are investr caretakers also.they are not only in ethanol but the main interest is to set industries for ethanol/sugar /and ethanol from other food grains too,what a variety portfolio.there is nothing wrong in this company,matter of only convincing good politicians of great India,when they will realise oil cost and foriegn currency go on that accont,.hope after this election things may chage wth new govt.
but this is the right time to enter in ....

It is hard to believe, that a zero debt company, with good a very good order book will reach that level.
I was talking to an industrialist friend of mine in pune and asked him about praj and he had only good things to say, praj are one of his clients and he says that they are one of the companies whose payments are always prompt and who according to his knowledge have a very good order book at this time
I am not going to sell, since i believe in this company, but will just keep buying more shares at every rs.10 or so fall.
Long term, i am confidet that nothing bad is going to happen to this scrip.
