Adhunik Metaliks Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on October 27, 2008, inter alia, has noted the commercial raising and selling of iron ore from the mines of the Companys 100% subsidiary.

Further the board has also noted the commercial production of sinter plant and bloom caster.

The Board has duly approved the swap ratio for the proposed strategic merger of Vedvyas Ispat Ltd and Sri. M P Ispat & Power Pvt. Ltd. with Adhunik Metaliks Ltd. The shareholders holding 4.43 shares of Vedvyas Ispat Ltd shall get 1 share of Adhunik Metaliks Ltd and shareholder holding 0.99 share of Sri. M P Ispat & Power Pvt. Ltd. shall get 1 share of Adhunik Metaliks Ltd. The proposed strategic merger is subject to approval from the concerned statutory authorities, including Stock Exchanges, Honble High Court etc....

With reference to the earlier announcement dated October 15, 2008 regarding Board Meeting on October 27, 2008, Adhunik Metaliks Ltd has now informed BSE that the Board shall also consider appointment of Mr. Nandanandan Mishra as an additional director within the meaning of Section 260 of the Companies Act, 1956....
