Should i trust YOU or World Leader in roses Karuturi Ramakrishna????...

Chinese themselves are very big producers of roses and other flowers. In fact they are largely exporting to Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and other far east countries. There is no question of China importing roses from Karuturi either directly or indirectly. That\\`s why Rama Krishna told that they have not exported directly. It is all humbug man. Don\\`t trust. No company in the world/universe can produce 95% exportable roses. upto you guys!!!!!!!!!!

Hi
You said it rightly. They are not directly benefitted. But indirectly. they sell in wholesale markets which is picked up by wholesale traders and sent to Beijing. The Olympics have generated a lot of demand for roses and Karuturi Networks being the world’s largest supplier of cut roses is likely to be an incidental beneficiary.
KS Ramakrishna, Managing Director, Karuturi Networks said the company accounts for 8% of the supply into the world markets and has a significant upside benefit from a large event like the Olympics. He informed CNBC-TV18 that 95% of the company’s sales come from the flower business and out of that 92% is exported. He sees the company’s profit at Rs 185 crore and the topline Rs 670 crore from the flower business in FY09. “Margins have withstood inflationary conditions largely because of the strong Euro and have increased from 32% to 34%.”
great future

One thing i found about Karuturi is that their future plans are not clear.the company says it will grow cereals, pulses, sugarcane in that 750000 acres of land in ethiopia..it will require huge capital expentiditure .Will it be a greenhouse kind of thing. if it is just a farming, then i dont believe there would be much profits.anyone has any idea about future plans of karuturi, please share....

I agree that increase in expenditure is reducing the EBIDTA margins. However reduction in EBIDTA margins is being offset by stupendous growth which company has shown. Considering bottomline projections of their Flower Business of rs 185 crores their diluted EPS should be around 4.5 which translates in to PE multiple of 5 which looks fairly good considering their earnings growth. Regarding QOQ growth it must be taken in to account along with corresponding period, but in case of karuturi since last Qtr is always heavy because of Valentine day, therefore comparisons can be deceptive. Neverthless I feel that cost pressures are there but it is good growth story which should sustain its earnings growth

anil

'Consolidated result is the one which shud be considered , not QoQ' - Can you explain this statement for me??

High growth companies are compared YoY and QoQ.. Check out reports of IT cos few yrs back.. Every analyst uses QoQ as a measure of growth... The same applies here.. dont be blind folded only with YOY growth..

I never said KNL is a NOT a multibagger or to sell it.. Go and check out.. I am telling u that growth is slowing down, cost pressures creeping up, interest rates going north, credit is gettin dried up etc.. KNL's big plans are gonna b tested in this environment.. Inflation is around 20% in ethiopia which will lead to workers demanding more wages..

Do u get what i am trying to tell u???

Hi spotted gold,
Any one who is tracking our discussion can understand what i am trying to say...I don't know from which planet you are !!??...

As rightly said by synam - The Q1FY09 shud be compared with Q1FY08 .....Why do u compare Q1FY09 with Q4FY08......BTW, according to u, which are the characteristics of a multibagger ?...(because, don't forget that the discussion started when u stated that - the karuturi is not a multibagger).

I am , a small investor, having just about 2 years of experience in this stock market.I have done my homework, for me Karuturi is a TRUE MULTIBAGGER. And i have invested my hard earned money here.

U said, it is not a multibagger....Now, u being an intelligent and smart investor, tell me which are all the charecteristics of a multibagger....how a multibagger shud be....give some examples....

This is just a discussion ....take it positively......don't let ur ego to hurt you..

Regards,

nsebull007
