Govt OF India has banned import of Chinese milk products due to grave health concerns. However these products like cheese, chocolates and confectionery are being freely sold by super markets, malls and retail stores. Also many of the milk products sold by multinationals are made from Chinese milk powder. Citizens must exercise extreme caution while purchasing imported milk products due grave health repercussions....

DO NOT BUY IMPORTED CHINESE FOOD PRODUCTS LIKE CHEESE, CHOCOLATES AND CONFECTIONERY ITEMS WHICH MAY BE FREELY AVAILABLE IN MALLS/SUPERMARKETS/RETAIL STORES. Even milk products made by multinationals may also be based on Chinese milk products and imported in India via gray market route. Citizens must take active steps to safeguard their health. Do not depend only on Govt for action when your/family health is at stake....

Dear Kalidas, your write up makes eminent sense. I have advised my daughter in USA to divert some of her savings to Indian banks. I am a long term investor and my holdings consist of RIL, Indraprastha gas, HUL, ITC, SAIL, Syndicate bank, GAIL, RPL and small holding of high risk cat & dog shares. Any comments? I remain in profit in above stocks notwithstanding my earlier exit would have ensured better profit.Normally I book profits at regular intervals. I have some little cash for stock market investment but contemplate diverting these funds to buy gold/silver. which one is better? RBI HAS REDUCED CRR, which for sure is good news. What specific measures should Govt / RBI must undertake to ensure liquidity commensurate with inflation control and reasonable growth?...

I expect inflation to drop further. Crude is dropping and Indian basket of crude is likely to drop to $70 within a time period of one month. There is also steep fall in commodity prices. Inflation for sure will fall steeply in next few weeks. This is good news for our economy and well being of common-man....
