Hi Man, I also sold most BASF and converted into Ciba. On few days, there was so much difference between BASF/Ciba prices that I got scared I must say ... I was wondering if the merger will go through or not. But right now, it looks ok. BTW, it is going to happen in Feb 2010 not 2011 - touch wood ... As for Sudarshan, their plant in Pune is closed for all practical purposes. But I was told by someone that the land is not owned by the company but the promoters in their individual capacity. They have leased the land to the company. Whether this is true or not, whether the co will get some money from promoters to cancel the lease, only promoters or time can tell. But the plant is in prime location and it is big - I have seen it from inside many years ago. As for price, I think it`s fairly valued for it`s business. ...

As company is not paying regular dividend we have to wait till buy buy back is annouced at ahefty price.

Very good company as although makig good profits but adding funds to thier own kitty and will certainly come out with buy back plans soone or later.

BASF has started their plant at Ankleshwar (earlier CIBA ) .Ciba has unit at Ankleshwar for Optical whiteners and another new plant was commissioned for Ink Jet/Specialty dyes.

Ciba shares will get transfered to BASF in Feb or March 2010 and 2011 may be it was my typo error.
I was shocked to see yesterday Sudersan stock was quoted at 320Rs. Is it worth holding or can be disposed.
earlier i had submitted my shares for dematting but same was not done as company had not made any understandings with NSDL?CDSL.

Companys working is quite good. Oweed by ICICI Bank and good business module.
In stock market if you remain long term investor you will definatley get back your investmnet value in this kind of stocks with good background and good fundamentals.
If you have funds buy on decline for better averageing your earlier higher purchase price if t stock falls to 60 level. Buy in small qty and in agradual manner...
