Nahar Investments and Holding Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on May 16, 2008 has approved the setting up of a manufacturing plant for manufacture of Bi-Axially Oriented Polypropylene Film (BOPP FILM) Project. Accordingly they have also proposed that the Object Clause of the Memorandum of Association be changed pursuant to Section 17 read with section 192A of the Companies Act, 1956.
Further to bring in line the Companys name with the proposed manufacturing activities, the Board has also decided to change the name of the Company from "Nahar Investments and Holding Ltd" To "Nahar Poly Films Ltd" subject to the approval of the shareholders under Section 21 of the Companies Act, 1956. The Registrar of Companies, Punjab, H.P. & Chandigarh vide its letter dated May 08, 2008 has confirmed the availability of the above said name subject to compliance of Section 21 and other applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 1956. To get the approval of the shareholders, the Board has decided to call the Extra Ordinary General Meeting of the Members on June 11, 2008.
