Bharat Electronics Ltd has informed BSE that the Trade Unions in the various Units & Corporate Office of the Company on a call given by the Committee of Public Sector Trade Unions have served notice of their intention to go on a days strike by the non-executive employees in the Company along with the employees of other Central Public Sector Undertakings on August 20, 2008 to register their protest on the issues like: disinvestments / privatization, outsourcing in PSUs, relativity between workers and executives in pay & benefits, etc....

Rs. 40439 lacs 30-JUN-2007.
Net Profit/(Loss)Rs. 251.88 lacs 30-JUN-2008 against
Rs. 2630.00 lacs 30-JUN-2007
here u can see profit has been reduced by near abt 90% so who's gonna buy it?? let see if they will proov good results in coming Q, it will jump, this is always good stock (In past)

There is no dearth of orders. There is only a tim lag because of Government involvments. Then they are projects with a time lag also. Unless the project is completed the billing can not take place. In the mean time the oprational costs are incurred. Then there are price variation clauses which has to be negotiated for billing. Nothing to worry. Next quarter you will find sudden jump not correlated to normal steady growth which we all expect !...

The Company has posted a net profit for the period of Rs 25.188 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 as compared to Rs 263.019 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007. Total Income has decreased from Rs 4731.630 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 to Rs 4450.848 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2008....
