Please note that as per NSE site, the date of payment of dividend is 25th October 2008. As per Companies Act, the dividend is to be paid within 42 days of the date of declaration/passing of resolution for the same which in this case is AGM which took place in the last week of September 2008. Cheers and enjoy the dividend before Diwali -:)...

if you are talking about the book closure date posted on BSE then that is 27 Sept and not 27 Oct. Usually ppl get dividend credited within 10 days of book closure. but most probably this is a sarkari company so it will give the dividend within a year or so :)

Value of PNB Gilts is linked to divestment by PNB. In the present mayhem, all such talks have taken a back seat. Let us hope they are revived soon and existing shareholders can exit the scrip at around 40 rupees. Any observations? rpgarga

PNB Gilts is a slow company like any other PSU, i agree but we cannot corner out PNB gilts for losing value in the current market because everyone did and PNBG just followed the trend. PNB mgmt did what they had to. They invited bid for pnbg, b`coz of poor mkt conditions the response was not good so they most probably defered the plan. Only thing i agree with is that they could have been more transparent about what happened and made a public announcement regarding the same. One thing is still sure that the mgmt is also desperate to sell it off but at the right price with a decent premium and not discount which could be more feasible after the Oct results. So wait and watch. According to me this share will definitely cross 35 by the end of this year....

Hey, totalview, you are all bull pal. I have seen your earlier messages on this board. Get your facts right. Markets always value a business on the potential of its earnings and good managements are always rewarded. One of the most 3rd rate mgmt is of PNBG and these so called f..i n g ba.tards have no regard to shareholders interest whatsoever. Cheers for getting royally screwed up in this stock.

After brutal meham in the market, PNB Gilts has today closed at Upper Circuit both at BSE and NSE. Real juice is its Book Value which is around Rs.35. However, an irrational market leaves everyone baffled. People will buy or sell a Mutual Fund instrument at its book value but investors will turn away PNB Gilts @ 50% discount !!!!!!!! Cheers !!!!!!
