Why has ABB fallen so bad?
Though it is a strong Co , basicaly Sensex is falling. Also many like Merrill Lynch are trimming their stakes in Emerging Markets /India , adding to the selling pressure .
Long Time supports are @ 315-450.
Hold onto cash till the dust settles.
Happy investing at cheaper levels!...

ABB is fundamentally a good stock, strong order book and growth. I am flummoxed by this correction in the stock price from 1600 to 750 (but then I hardly claim to be an expert on the markets). Voltamp Transformers, BHEL and Crompton have fallen too, the entire space is taking a hit and its not just ABB alone.
For me the bottomline is that for a fundamentally good stock this is a dirt cheap valuation, be prepared to stay invested for atleast an year. In the short run, this stock may bounce back to 900 levels IF the markets rally to 14K levels again....

Don`t look at the PIVOT point. It will not work now. It`s work only in rangebound environment. But for ABB there is buy potentiality for short as well as long term....

ABB has fallen down from 4,000 levels to 750 levels. Such a steep fall even when the company is doing well. Even though, financial crisis in America could be one reason, it doesn`t fully explain the steep fall. Does anybody think that this stock has been badly manipulated?

As Wall Street descends into chaos, many investors are happy to sit on
the sidelines holding cash. But there are still profits to be made for
big-picture investors.
Chris Mayer says the next “megatrend” will be a trillion global
infrastructure boom. Urbanization on a massive scale in China and
India requires huge construction projects. And this will create huge
demand for building materials (like cement and steel) and basic
commodities (iron ore, copper and nickel).
Chris says power-grid builder ABB (NYSE:ABB) and road-building
equipment maker Astec Industries (NASDAQ:ASTE) are stocks to watch
