Govt to set up Skill Development Corporation for youth: P.M
The government unnecessarly creating a separate corporation for skilled youth and spending the amount without any fruitful results. if prime Minister has got genuine interest, he may stop the skilled people who are going abroad and utilising their talent in this country. If he is genuine leader and well wisher of our country he must not yield to political pressure.

This is not possible for any honest, political leaders. ...

treasuredhan,

yet another good post from you. In pakistan ,the bad you talk about INDIA the greater will be survival but in india the picture is entirely opposite, the bad you talk you Pakistan the harder will be survival .This basically because of VOTE BANK politics. If people talk ill about pakistan then they will lose MUSLIM votes.

The congress position is very very bad now. That is why none of the congress or UPA members dared to talk about the issue.

Regarding Laloo ,everybody knows he is highly corrupt.

We do not need leaders but statemen who have tremendous vision. We need people like Sardar Patel. ...

I don\\`t know why our channels keep on telecasting the speech of our enemy in regular intervals. But unfortunate, our L K Advani voiceferous opposition is not telecasted in such frequency. This is the sad state of affairs. Our PM did not utter once sentence about it. The Italian did not react. Is this the sacrifice that lady is doing to this country? Name one congressmen who had reacted to the statement of Treacherous Pervez , a person who is going to be hanged in his own country and has no respect. LEFT, Laloo all were keeping quiet on the statement. Does India need such UNPATRIOTIC PM, UPA CHAIRPERSON, LALOO AND OTHER LEADERS. Do they not deserve by the public to shot them out

As a private professional who is connected defence, I know how the UPA Government treats the defence people. Don't talk of stupidity and you better control your tongue. See the telecast in various channels . Still the Defence seniors are not happy about the pay fixation recommended. Don't just support the government blindly. If bofors commission is paid, the congress would use them. This government has no concern for the general public.

14 Aug 2008 22:11

Now, in ur first message, u were crying that all the Good defence officers and staff have gone and corrupt ones are getting the benefit with the increase in wages and in second message u are asking y the wages are not more then that of IAS officials..plz b clear if u are against the increase in wages or u want the increase in wages...

and coming to the delay, good that the govt has atleast now reliazed the necessity to increase the wages and did that, instaead of wasting more time....and i dont see anything behind this...and if u see anything, plz mention it.....

If the Government has regard for Defence personnel, then why cannot they pay more than the scale of IAS and other bereaucrats of the working for the Government and why did the government take so much time to increase the defence salary, while for the bereaucrats it did immediately. The Government took time after long protest by defence personnel. Don't you think there is something behind all these

The finance ministry is understood to have set up a cell to implement by September, the Sixth Pay Commission recommendations that is awaiting government approval. Sources said finance minister P Chidambaram approved setting up of the Implementation Cell \"to process and implement the accepted recommendations of the Commission by September.\"

The six-member cell set up in the department of expenditure, will be headed by a joint secretary and will complete its work in six months with effect from April 1, 2008, sources said.

The government had earlier set up a Committee headed by Cabinet Secretary to process the Sixth Pay Commission report before giving its final approval. Once the Cabinet approves the report, the cell will implement the report, the sources said.

Ever since inflation rose to a three-year high of over 7%, the government has been eager to implement the recommendations of the Central Pay Commission report at the earliest, sources said.

The pay panel has recommended an average hike of 28% in the salary of the central government employees, which is expected to benefit over 40 lakh persons.

The government is concerned that the armed forces, along with employees of the Railways and other departments are unhappy with the disparities in the pay commission\'s recommendations and have asked the Cabinet Secretary to submit the report at the earliest.

The implementation cell is also expected to look into timely flow of funds to all the Ministries, which is estimated at Rs 12,500 crore by the Pay Panel for 2008-09. The pay panel has estimated that the government would require additional about Rs 18,000 crore this year towards payment of arrears.

The wait of the over-five-million Central government employees over the government\'s take on the Sixth Pay Commission recommendations may come to an end on August 15. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is expected to make the final announcement on the issue from the ramparts of the Red Fort in his Independence Day speech after the Cabinet takes up the final package based on the commission\'s report at its meeting scheduled for Thursday.

The government has accepted most recommendations of the commission for higher pay scales, sources said. The employees are expected to get arrears effective from January 1, 2006 as recommended by the commission. However, it is likely that the dues from 2006 to December 2007 are to be credited to the employees\' provident fund. The arrears due from January 2008 would be given as part of the salary. The move is expected to help the government trim expenses on account of payment of arrears, which is estimated at Rs 18,060 crore.

The demands of the defence forces to hike the military special pay along with higher pay for all ranks of defence personnel are likely to be met. The government might double the military special pay to Rs 2000 per month.

However, the government is understood to have not conceded to the demands made by the railway ministry, which had sought higher salary for certain employee grades and the elevation of office of chairman railway board to that of Cabinet secretary.

The government, however, remained silent on making 62 years the retirement age from present 60 years.

The final view on the issue was taken at a high-level meeting held at the Prime Minister\'s Office on Wednesday attended by the top brass of the UPA government such as the Prime Minister, the finance minister and the defence minister.

The report submitted in March, had suggested a 35% to 50% salary hike for most government employees. The proposed hike in salaries is expected to increase the government\'s gross wage bill by Rs 12,561 crore in 2008-09. --

dear mfactor , India will be a strong country only if the majority of bahujans(Dalits , back wards , poor upper catses and minorities ) becomes middle class in india. Right now 20% of elite people (mostly upper caste) is belongs to middle cast , bcs they control the economy , Job market - pvt & Govt- and all country resources .

If the majority of bahujans becomes middle class in india it will boost our economy and will ultimately benfit people participating in stock market like us. So first we need to fight against the social discrimination against all sections , then automatically the issues like terrorism and maoism etc will disappear.

See our Intelligence , 95% is upper caste there and not recruiting any people from muslims , then how can they know and prevent about extermism among muslims? . So first bring all sections into the mainframe of society ..then our country will be great and strong....
