Dear vkk43,

Yes, it is really frustrating. I also put lot of fresh money during the last 4 months, thinking it is near bottom. But that is part of the game, though I have never seen such selling during the last 18 yrs.

But, now it looks to be very near to the bottom & Realty is one of the sectors where the correction is overdone. Of course I never looked at these stocks when they were even at 1/4th of their peak rates.

Guys who bought at the peaks may have to forget it as a bad dream. But for those who can average to even double the current price, there is hope of being in the green in the medium term.

The problem with staying away may be that you lose out on any dramatic pull-back, which can always happen after such savage selling....

But how long do you think you can add in this weak market. After all, money in the hands of retail investors is always limited. Not a bad idea to stay away for sometime, say at least until this qtr working results are out, which will be bad for many companies. Thanks for yr views.

Dear vkk43,

On hind-sight, it is apparent that one should have stayed away from the stock market itself. But for those who stayed on, the only sensible thing is to stay put and add as much as possible.

This may be one of the reasons the stock is availble at such price. One should look at valuations also, and not just repeat the negatives....

True, this is one of the worst in terms of a debt to equity ratio. This is as per CNBC TV18.

Dear sxd213,

My comment was based on fundamentals, and not technicals.
Sobha is one of the top realty companies, with a reserve of Rs915.5cr as per their latest balance sheet, whereas the present market cap is less than 650cr. The last year EPS was 31.3 and current year EPS may be around 25. The IPO was priced around 640.

Whatever be the current difficulties faced by the sector, one should not expect that the share price will come down to zero. Of course, the selling has been happening as if there is no tomorrow.

Compared to all other real estate firms, Sobha still enjoy upper hand in terms of its financial strenght and marketing capabilities. The current scenario is only temporary and Sobha has enough resources to combat the situation. The company is still strong and the share value is just not an indication of its strength. May be in the next few months it will recover from its current status and the share value will reach arounf Rs.350.00 +

I think you are not aware of the locations. Pl. visit these alongwith the company reps., you will understand. See the price is already 100. Wait for Rs 40 or even below Rs 25 in the next 6 months. The co. has defaulted substantially in the FMP market. This is very important for sign of bad times coming the cos way. ...
