Dear All,

I had a talk with the Mr. Jayesh Patel, CEO, this afternoon. From my discussion with him, I don't see any big problems with the company. Besides discussing on the specifics, I did discuss about the generic issues. Some takeaway:

1. The land on which the new plant were to be build is now in residential zone. They have been allotted new land (10 crores) in the industrial zone of pithampur at a very reasonable price.

2. The residential land would be in the books of the company, so the book value increase. From my understanding I guess it would fetch around 7 crores (10 acres) based on the CMP in that area. However, there is no plan to sell it now as there is no need for funds at this stage.

3. The plant at existing location is enhanced in capacity the effect of which shall be there in coming quarterly results.

4. The plan for the new plant would be discussed in the coming board meeting.

5. Expect the quarterly result by july 31st. I hope the results are better than last quarter based on my discussion with him in April and this time.

6. I also checked about export issues to Africa w.r.t. currency fluctuations, he mentioned that its a very small fraction of their overall business and it also partly gets hedged by the raw materials that they import.

7. We both also agreed that the industry (not only pharma) as a whole has problems with input costs - both at manpower front and material front.

Though it is not required to publish the audited annual results if you have already published the unaudited results by Jun30th, I have requested him to publish it for better investor confidence. Otherwise, he was planning to publish at at AGM (due to happen in September). Lets see.
