	INFLATION and STOCK MARKETS (117)   21-Jul-08 05:42 Tracked by (18)   Posted by:   neeguya on ( 21-Jul-08 05:42 ) i agree with your point on bouns spilt and demerger. as none of this changes the effective value of the company except being a toy to the speculator. at any point of time no company should make more money by demerging the same business. yeah the trajectory change may lead to new height in the league. another thing which i believe that RIL petrochemical and refinery business hold the PE of 10-12. but not the reliance retail and new hydrocarbon discoveries. so in case of reliance its tough to stop the valuation at 10-12 PE. detailed analysis suggest that at 1800 they are fairly valued. we are not far from that point. so any upsurge will swing the stock in positive direction only. there are lots of speculation on govt policies and taxes. but one thing is very clear that mukesh ambani has used the govt to mint extra profits. he will be able to sell his gas much higher than previous commitment to anil ambani. thats what the dispute between both. and everyday new rules are just t make his stronger. another story i like is relince retail--you may call him sabjiwala and jootewala. but they are hit in the public. you go to any reliance store and they are crowded. i have a strong faith that indians are very price sensitive and brand disloyal. so retail chain can twist the pricing due to their sheer size. i have faith in walmart and the same in reliance retail too. they will enjoy longer than anyone else being the first and fastest enterent. i like your post as you are writing from some place which gives you unbiased view, as well your experience in unmatched. keep up the good work.
