Radhika Madam,

Unfortunately we are ruled by these conversion agents.

As far as FREEDOM is concerned, it has a special meaning in India :

Hindus can be abused as per the will and wish of a person - will get lot of appreciation.

We have no LIBERTY to do so against a muslim or a christian.

Knair,

The conversion agents should know one thing.

The Hindu religion is drafted on the same line as the American Constitution with emphasis on three words

NO CONSTRICTION

LIBERTY

FREEDOM

As far as monotheistic faiths go, we will accept their god but discard their subtracting strategies. LOL

Nightowl sweetie,

You sound so hassled... LOL.. we are used to all this... i have received threatening messages even.. i am going to post them all to cops when the situation turns for the worse. No one can harass us when we speak truth, plain truth, when we are honest and we maintain decorum and respect every view. Its not done.

Generally in the past the skotak gang used to harass us but those folks have no clue who is who either. I dont know if they are a bunch or they are just a couple of them. The moment they see some name in the popularity list or rating list thats not their chieftain SKOTAK they begin to burn with hatred and jealousy. Would i open a hollywood magazine and feel jealous of all the beauties there? ROFL... Such is the state of mind of this skotak gang... Sometimes i am just roaring with laughter at their posts coz they have no personal touch here just plain jealousy... they are jealous if top rated messages are not their kotak`s, they are jealous if Kotak is not the most tracked and so on...LOL...

I will admit its hard to come to grips with our current financial crisis.

You see I have become blended. In the process of all my research and discovery, I have lost a little bit of my individuality. I am guessing you might be in the same boat. You all concentrating so much on your own work, family and financial needs, that it can be difficult to remember that not everyone lives your life and faces completely different problems.

I know thats where I am. You see, for now, I have been fortunate. I dont know anyone whos lost his or her job in all this mess. No friends or even friends of friends who have lost their home to foreclosure. I dont even know anyone who had to move because they couldnt pay their mortgage.

So if this is what I am seeing then (remember everything just seems to blend together these days) its easy to assume that everything is okay.

Its easy to think this is JUST a Dalal Street problem. Sure, its spilled over to cars and housing but these industries have always been – and will always be – in boom-bust cycles. Hot economy…lots of new cars and houses…secure jobs. Its almost too easy to believe that nothing new is happening here…no national crisis.

But the fact is: This time IS different. The -mess- will be coming to my world. I know it. I can feel it. I have no proof…Everything still looks the same but…

This could all easily change. Neighbors wont always be able to pay those mortgages/credit cards Bill. Friends can lose jobs. New car purchases will be put on hold. Cooling economy…layoffs…maybe even foreclosures.

The world is changing – and its about to reach your neighborhood and mine, whether we are ready for it or not. And it will look a lot like the world you have been reading about.

Yes, Modi moved faster than others in the race to get Nano to Gujarat. Very few CMs have/had vision/enthusiasm for development of their respective States, other than politics. BUT, THIS IS NOT to undermine the efforts put in by the present West Bengal CM despite opposition EVEN from his own party, AND THE CONCESSIONS THAT WERE GRANTED/PROMISED TO BE GIVEN to TATAs (for a Car Project with lesser employment generation). THESE CONCESSIONS ARE SOUGHT TO BE EXECEEDED BY GUJARAT GOVERNMENT. To know the concessions granted by West Bengal, it is interesting to read the following article which appeared on 1st Oct.2008 in rediff:

October 01, 2008 02:06 IST

Sources in the West Bengal government`s finance department said the state had made budgetary provisions that would run into several hundred crores every year for 20 to 30 years to attract Tata Motors` [Get Quote] Nano project to Singur.

This payout was to begin from the scheduled start of the production in 2008. The project is now facing problems owing to protests by land-losers unwilling to compensation from the government.

Responding to questions raised on the basis of the contract signed between the state government, Tata Motors and West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC), the source said the state would also match any additional benefits accruing to factories in hill states like Uttarakhand, were these states to receive any further incentive packages in the future.

At the end of 2006, the state government had disbursed the first part of its support to Tata Motors in the form of a soft loan of Rs 200 crore at an interest of 1 per cent per year repayable in five equal annual instalments from the 21st year from disbursement of the loan, entailing a lock-up of the capital and loss of interest income on the amount for the entire tenure.

At a simple rate of 12 per cent a year, the interest subsidy would cost the state about Rs 25 crore a year.

The state had committed to extend a loan of around Rs 400 crore a year at 0.1 per cent interest, payable monthly, for 30 years, as a matching amount for the value added tax (VAT) received by the state at the rate of 12 per cent on every car sold.

The 12 per cent VAT on the Rs 1 lakh base model would go up if more of the upper-end versions of Nano were sold, so the amount of the loan to be extended to TML could surge.

The state would also extend a loan to match the central sales tax collected on the vehicle, payable on each car sold outside the state, or aggregates of such cars sent to other factories, and this commitment was expected to cost the state at least Rs 50 crore a year, given the installed capacity of the Singur plant to make 350,000 cars and generate components and aggregates for up to 500,000 cars.

The state government had also promised Tata Motors subsidised power at the rate of Rs 3 per kilo watt hour (kwh), or at around half the price of power charged to high-tension industrial consumers in the state at present, in perpetuity.

This in turn would mean extending support to the tune of up to Rs 70 crore a year for the 997-acre factory zone comprising the mother plant, the ancillary and component facilities and all related infrastructure under the current power tariff structure.

Incidentally, land for the factory had also been provided at a subsidised rate with 645 acres being provided to Tata Motors at Rs 1 crore a year against market rate of Rs 19.3 crore a year in that area, and with 290 acres being provided for the vendor and related facilities units at Rs 23 lakh a year against a market rate of Rs 8.7 crore a year. This excluded the cost of acquisition of the land pegged at around Rs 120 crore.

Nano to drive from Gujarat: Is Modi the most progressive CM?

New Delhi: Within days of moving out of West Bengal, Tata Motors have decided to drive the Nano project to and from Gujarat. This development comes after Tata scouted many sites including some in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

Tata Motors Chairman Ratan Tata and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will make an announcement on Tuesday evening in a joint press conference.

The Tatas have chosen Sanand, close to Ahmedabad, as the project site. The site is located within the 2,200-acre Anand Agriculture University campus.

Sources say things are moving fast at the government front for the transfer of 1,000 acres of land to the Tatas.

Modi, who also completes seven years in office on Tuesday, will have a discussion with his Cabinet colleagues before finalising the deal.

Nano: Neighbours envy, owner`s pride

Tata gone, West Bengal wonders who to blame

A drive through Nano`s original home

Forum: Is Modi the most industry-friendly CM?

Sources also confirm if things go according to plan, the deal will be finalised by Tuesday itself. Importantly, Modi is said be willing to roll out concessions to the Tatas in order to clinch the project.

While he was against giving concessions to industry, in the case of Nano project the Chief Minister is said to be ready to make an exception.

The new project site was finalised on Tuesday evening after yet another visit by the Tata Motors officials, who in the last few days had scouted for possible locations in many other states.

Ever since the Tatas faced political resistance in West Bengal for their project at Singur various state governments, including Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, were in the race to woo Tatas to set the manufacturing facility for the cheapest car in the world.

Modi has short Assembly and more time for work..he had magic with hard work. Cheers to all in Gujarat and to India to have such a leader. Forget politics and get some more Modis to make India a dream land for all. It is time people learn to work instead of using their freedom of speech for endless arguments....

UPA remained a silent spectator when thousands of tamils were killed in Srilanka.
One lac Tamils killed so far and 10 lac are refugees.
Rajiv Gandhi assasination made the psychopant congressmen not to raise the issue when killing was going.
When two sikhs killed Indira Gandhi we did not blame the entire sikh community but only mad Manmohan as PM.
If the Tamils had other neighbour than India they could have received good support!
