With reference to the earlier announcement dated October 13, 2008 regarding Outcome of Board Meeting, Educomp Solutions Ltd has now informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company in its meeting held on October 13, 2008, inter alia :
1. In furtherance to shareholders approval through postal ballot on May 24, 2008, approved additional options viz., Qualified institutional placement (QIP) as per revised SEBI guidelines or Non-Convertible Debentures for raising funds and decided to take the approval of shareholders through postal ballot for the said propose.
2. Approved ESOP plan 2008 and decided to take the approval of shareholders through postal ballot for the said propose....

Dear ZoomBusiness,
You are wanting hear what you want. Unfortunately it is not true. Dont waste time on Educomp. It is a dead duck.
ML had to do a block deal and buy, as a Large FII wanted to sell and if he unloaded @ 1950 it would have come down to 800-1000, it seems promoters requested ML for bailout, as they have a rights issue to get funding. Many more are waiting to bailout.
No body will fund them at even 1000 Rs.
Forget PE - Value of this Biz should not be so high, where model is to buy PC and Computers, hardware and s/w and host it at a School, who do not pay anything but charge monthly to students, spread over 5 years. Cost of money is very high now! So even recovering your cost is going to be difficult. Worst is it is not binding on school kids, and after 5 years school can take hardware and equipment and throw out Educomp or renegotiate! SO annuity Biz is vulnerable.
Lastly, understand if Govt & RBI has lent 20,000 crores to MFs, it is b`coz of liquidity. SO fundamentally MFs have to pay interest on thsi money. What doe sthsi mean, they will have tos ell at evry opportunity but slowly as redemption pressure is high. So guys waiting last in the MF Q, will hold the baby! Thsi si ploy to prevent cataostrophe at one go but is harmful for gusy who wait in MFs or do SIP. MFs or existingholders of MF units will be paying for thsi booroowing to pay back guys withdrawing from MFs at artifically high prices (NAV).
Get it.
Have fun,. Educomp should be less than 800 in 3-4 months.

Educomps school management services will be used by these schools to upgrade the quality of services and improve learning outcomes.

You are right, Educomp looks extremely weak on the Charts and may touch levels of 1000-1200 before any rebound can occur in this counter.
It will face the similar fate of ABAN offshore before it starts to rise again in the pullback rally. So stay away for the time being as it is still quoting at a very higher price in this type of bear market.

Yes, u r quite right. All are totally confused what to do in this market. Nobody is an expert here. One may read the msg but that msg should b limited to an advice only. All investors are supposed to do their home work before buying/selling any shares because ultimately their money is involved and at risk. As regards Educomp, thanks that u agree with me.

Yes, u r quite right. All are totally confused what to do in this market. Nobody is an expert here. One may read the msg but that msg should b limited to an advice only. All investors are supposed to do their home work before buying/selling any shares because ultimately their money is involved and at risk. As regards Educomp, thanks that u agree with me....

Hi vkk, People are totally confused, and no one knows which advice is genuine. Everyone pretends to be an expert and giving lavish advices based on their areas of interest. As you rightly said, Educomp is in danger zone at the moment.

I hv been advising to get out of this share since it was 3700/- around and hv posted a number of msgs on this share in last few weeks. Still looks it is in corrective phase.

When I had postged a msg at 3700/- that it is looking weak in this present bearish market, 1-2 boarders said about its future growth potential and it would go up and up. From there it had fallen to this level. Weakness still persists in this share. Pl. take yr decision. Thanks for your views....
