Read an article today in the Banking section of The Hindu Business Line today about Yes Bank.

They have shortlisted about 1000 odd SME and are planning to lend them loans. According to them they have shortlisted the companies in Agri, food processing, Alternate Energy related area and which are supposed to grow atleast 40% per year.

I think all the money raised recently from Rabo Bank might go here....

my personal view is that yes bank can be accumulated at 125 and below, with a minimum investment of around 40000/,with lesser investments, the purchase price can be lowered accordingly, the stock will give returns if the investment is judiciously planned....

nothing happened to ONGC when subir raha retired.

there r so many instances like this. growth keeps coming. always think that the company is great not individual. the management has the responsibility to fill the vaccume on occassions.

Ajay Mahajan was one of the founders of this Bank with Rana Kapoor and a very Senior and key member of the team. His going away indicates that all is not well at Yes.

in short term, do u see any downside in yes bk,say 118/120 level....

Big blow to Yes Bank loosing Ajay Mahajan

Nothing is wrong with management of Yes Bank. An individual is never above the organisation. Recent decline in Yes Bank is a great opportunity. It is a proxy to growth of Indian economy. Last year , Bank has grown @ 100 %. It is expected it will continue to grow rapidly. I assume that this bank will be growing @ 30-40 % for next decade. Considering this, present price is GOD send opportunity. It should command a P/E of min 25 and likely EPS of 9-10 for current fiscal, price can easily quote arround 200-250 Rs in short term but best for this bank is yet to come in long term where it can deliver arround 30-40 % return on an yearly basis. Fill it and forget it. Disclaimer : I am holding 1700 shares of this bank @ 126 for long term and intend to book some profit arround 180-190 to average down my holding.
