Its PE ratio is 32 whereas another peer group company, NIIT PE ratio is 34. Educomp is market leader in eduction sector & quite fancied & darling till SPLIT,September I think so,at that time it was trading around 65 PE wheras peer group used to trade around its HALF.Before split it has touched 5200 in Sept 2009 & its all time high is 5600 in the year 2007. It has fallen from 960 to 624 during last 5-6 months & the SOLE reason being changing in company accounting system & DIVESTMENT of its EDUSMART, the flagship business module which still generate 60% of Educomp business. Its true that education share of peer group too is not taking investor fancy despite of hike in just concluded budget allocation. The Cabinet is likely to pass a bill by which foreign universities will be allowed to open their branches in India which will further boost the education share & particularly Educomp being leader & they will certainly go for tie ups with it. But I am surprised the way the share is LANGUISHING for so many months & even management did not bother CLARIFY in details because if DEMERGER is beneficial & it should be why they r keeping mum on the issue resulting lower market capitalisation & loss to share holder. One thing should be clear to you that the moment u sell the share and it is shown traded then either the Demat agent thru whom vizReliancemoney, ICICIdirect etc will be getting the allotment or if the same lot has been puchased by some one else will be the beneficiary.You will never be given these bonus shares. You must check up whether your demat a/c trader has transferred the shares of Renuka into your a/c or not. Generally these demat service pers keep the shares with them only for couple of crucial date and transfer the shares after some days and the bonus shares are creditted to their a/c. Like good investor keep on accumulating this at each dip i.e present level. The coy results (net profits and qtrly results etc) are far better than other such shares and this is bound to bounce back. It is a very highly valued share with alarming high price. It has a support of FII which have made it a exorbitant, however as compared to its prices viz a viz profits and other financial results are a mismatch.
