Dena Bank has informed the Exchange that "The Indian Banks Association has informed us vide their letters dated 31st July, 2008 and 7th July, 2008 that the All India Bank’s Employees Association (AIBEA representing workman employees and All India Bank Officers Association (AIBOC) representing officers has served a notice of strike dated 31st July,2008 and 30th July, 2008 respectively, stating that all the workmen employees and officers staff in the public sector and private sector banks will be observing one day’s total strike on 20th August, 2008 throughout the country on certain demands. If the strike materializes, a section of the Bank’s employees may take part in the proposed strike on the said date, in which case, the normal functioning of the branches / offices of the Bank may get affected. The bank is taking all the necessary steps in terms of the existing guidelines for smooth functioning of Banks branches/offices to deal with the strike". ...

Right querry !! This is because vijaya made huge losses ! so is well punished ! stay away from these smaller banks for time being and sell on rise !

Which is a better stock? As far as i know both vijaya and dena were like brothers .. moving almost similarly just like BOB and BOI. But y is it that Dena is quoting at 25% more than vijaya?

While banking stocks moved up considerably, Dena is yet to recover to its full potential. Since mid-caps have been flavour of the month, Dena is likely to evince interest. Short term target looks to be 60-62. Buy with a stop loss at 45....

Dena Bank has informed the Exchange that the Dividend recommended by the Board of Directors of the Bank at their meeting held on April 30, 2008 would be paid subject to approval by the shareholders in the Annual General Meeting scheduled on July 12, 2008. The mailing of dividend warrants dated July 22, 2008 would commence on July 19, 2008. Dividend amount would be credited on July 22, 2008 to those shareholders who are covered by ECS facility
If not received, can contact the company with their DP IN number and client ID number with the benefitiary name.you should have these shares by25-6-08 or before,in your demat account.The shares were trading on ex-dividend basis from 26-06-08

Hi,
I have not yet received Dena bank divident. On Moneycontrol i could see people have received divident on 22-Jul onwards.
To whom should i contact regarding this matter?
