Dear Pitquote

This is my first post to you. - greetings to start with,
Why Ginger, neem and basmati only? Heard that they are thinking of taking patents in USA for most of the medicinal herbs traditionally grown in our country and well covered in our Ayurveda treatises..Someday they may keep an eye on plantain leaf - at least it is grown in many contries. If India Government and trade do not keep vigil, anything may happen.

A passanger in the train in the same compartment I was travelling was boasting that he was proud of his Bhagavat Gita book - reason - you know it was printed in USA.

You can please call me PQ-pitquote or what so ever. But please do not add SIR. I am rather shy. Thanks and keep FIT AS FIDDLE. Cheers. Best fat burner in this world is GINGER and US is trying to patent it. Unfortunately we sideline Pepper Ginger from the VenPongal our parents serve. I hope Indian govenment looks into this in addition to the nuclear deal. First they tried turmeric/then they started working with Neem and now it is the turn of Ginger.

Hi,
I watched this interview absolute crap
There are are many point one can differ
But one or two i want to respond
She is unable to buy flat in Mumbai because Muslim
And also saif ali khan etc
1 instead of making sweeping allegation she must come out
with more details
2 Being a social activist (her claim) there are sufficient laws in the country against religious discrimination to proceed if you have facts
3 Why she is not saying about Mohalla politics?
Why isolate your self from the rest and then blame the rest for discrimination?
4 I know they will have 100 logic to do that, but at least let her come out with one positive act and take leadership of that
5 her remarks \"Khans Are Ruling Bollywood\" is that secular?
On top of all Karan was leading the interview in certain way
Very cheap...

Yesterday i watched a debate on terrorism recent event and some speakers were fair in their views
But Tiesta Selvad was very negative and criticizing all the time, even ordinary viewers are able to see this
My point these type of people in the form NGO trying to get popularity through these channels
Why these channels are encouraging these type of speakers
Yes it is needed to hear all points of views, and we have many good independent experts to give views
I think the channels are walking on the thine line
Sooner are later regulator will see the point of "giving news and creating news"

That happens because booking of profits is required and it is best strategy. Otherwise whatever earned gets eroded in front of us. But since market had became technically weak, global weakness and inflation sword, market will not halt from going downwards and 4165 is sure for nifty. It is better that you have earned profits. If you booked profits then only you can enjoy otherwise it is useless to see just profit on the screen. Weak stocks going forward are Bharti, Reliance Comm, Idea, Reliance Energy, Tata Power, NTPC, Suzlon, Power Grid, BHEL (likely). But that does not mean they will fall heavily but they will provide opportunity on the lower side....

Hardening of interest rates has given many corporates a chance to improve the performance and prune the liability of retirement funds for their employees. For the first time companies have got a window to pull out and reinvest money which is locked with the government and is earning a sub-market return.

A good part, often as high as 30%, of the superannuation and gratuity funds of corporates is parked as ‘special deposits’ with the government which gives an annual interest of only 8% on the money. Under the arrangement, companies collect the interest amount every January, but cannot withdraw the principal amount for redeploying it in securities which carry a higher return.

The only way the deposit can be withdrawn and reinvested is when the company gives the mandate to an insurance firm to manage the funds. Two recent developments can change the way companies handle these retirement funds. First, insurance firms are promising a guaranteed return for managing the special deposit portion in the funds; second, higher yields in government securities and corporate bonds following successive rate hikes have made it possible for insurance companies to generate higher returns. For instance, returns offered by insurance companies (which have approached several corporates) vary between 9.35% and 9.55% against 8% offered by the government on special deposits.
Significantly, a higher return will also enable corporates to lower their liability. A superannuation fund is created, with the employer contributing a maximum 15% of employees’ basic salary and crediting the interest from investments.
At the time of retirement, employees get one-third of the money, while the balance is used to purchase an annuity for a life-time pension. Gratuity, which unlike superannuation, is payable under law. Here, an employee receives 15 days salary for one completed year of service.

So, for 30 years of service an employee will receive 15 months’ salary based on the last pay drawn. To meet this payout, an employer does an actuarial valuation to calculate the liability. Under this circumstance, if such funds invest more in high-yielding bonds, the employer’s liability will come down.

It may be mentioned that even though a part of the provident fund money is locked in special deposits, current regulations do not allow insurance companies to manage PFs. Thus, under the current circumstances, unlocking of SDs can happen only in superannuation and gratuity funds.

While the special deposit scheme was introduced years ago for a limited period, the maturity date for deposits has been pushed back by the government. While the interest received can be reinvested in a given investment pattern, the government has shown no interest in releasing the corpus.

Practice makes a man perfect… - But nobody’s perfect…… so why
practice?

Money is not everything. - There’s MasterCard & Visa.

One should love animals. - They are so tasty.

Save water. - Shower with your girl friend.

Love thy neighbour. - But don’t get caught.

Behind every successful man, there is a woman - And behind every
unsuccessful man, there are two.

Every man should marry. - After all, happiness is not the only thing in
life.

The wise never marry - And when they marry they become otherwise.

Success is a relative term. - It brings so many relatives.

Never put off the work till tomorrow what you can put off today.

Love is photogenic - It needs darkness to develop

Children in backseats cause accidents - Accidents in backseats cause
children

“Your future depends on your dreams” - So go to sleep

There should be a better way to start a day - Than waking up every
morning

“Hard work never killed anybody” - But why take the risk !

“Work fascinates me” - I can look at it for hours!

God made relatives; - Thank God we can choose our friends.

When two’s company, - three’s the result!

The more you learn, the more you know,
The more you know, the more you forget
The more you forget, the less you know - So… Why learn.

A bus station is where a bus stops.
A train station is where train stops.
On my desk, I have a work station…. what more can I say……..

I am posting something which is written on one of my colleague\\`s blog.
And I agree with the points said.

For further details visit website anaggh dot com

For the iPhone

1 Cannot do group sms; forwards unless you spend EXTRA on smsd software.
2 No MMS
3 Cannot share any files via blue tooth
4 Cannot use as a wireless modem. You shall pay high data charges to activate internet on it, but cannot connect it to your PC & browse when at home or travelling.
5 Camera - Just OK; most of the time photos look like a VGA camera.
6 No video recording
7 No flash
8 No Physical keyboard - After constant usage, for me this alone is a deal breaker…..touch keyboard as good as it sounds & looks…..once you use it constantly for business, then you realize the importance of having a hard keypad.
9 No 3G network in India still so technically for India 2.0 is no better than its first version.
10 No removable battery, which means you cannot change battery. Have to sent it to apple outlet……jeez how many of them are there actually in India…& this is not an iPod, it’s a bloody phone, you cannot live without phone for 2-3 days whilst battery is being inserted.
11 Can’t use as external storage device….16gb of utter waste…want to share, songs, movies etc…sorry you cannot connect your “3G 2.0 Apple 16GB phone” with your friend and share it. APPLE solution”Buy music & movies from iTunes Store”
12 No FM Radio……imagine the radio stations who have spent a bomb getting listeners, tearing their
hair out in fury.
13 Cannot use mp3 etc as ring tones.
14 Completely tied to iTunes…..connect to your friend’s/spouse’s iTunes & you risk erasing everything on your phone.
15 3rd part soft wares…you have to buy them from iTunes store only.

NOW the INDIA Market…..

We in India have so much freedom. We go to handset shops & buy which ever phone we like. Then go to carriers.. checkout the plans & buy SIM. Don’t like the plan or rival carrier came up with a better plan???? EASY . just remove & replace the SIM. Now how are Airtel & Vodafone proposing to control this?

On the phone, We Indians are used to these features. Most of our phones already have these features. & we cannot do with out them…. i mean can you imagine paying so much for a phone with which you cannot transfer files via blue tooth. what age is this …STONE AGE???

My take on this…..

Steve Jobs will finally realize what the India Market is. This shall redefine his business strategy on phone over the next 6-9 months.

This will spawn a generation of low level hackers in India who shall become entrepreneurs for 3rd party software, battery, chargers so on & forth.

The Business phone user shall try out the novelty value & soon give it up.
