There is always apoint at which price is no justified. Today you can buy Tata Steel and have Rs 15000 Crores spare with money for Jubdal. Mind you Tata steel has operations in more than 1 country!

Just get out. It is heavily over valued. I see fair value around 400 levels in 3 months....

last bonus was announced in 1993. as the equity was blown on a/c of continuous bonus, company didnot announce bonus for more thn 13 years. therefore, to make the share price attractive, they have reeduced the equity from 139.00 crores to just 13.90 crores by refunding the face value by rs.9.00. now the share price is rs.1.00. the profit to equity ratio is more than 20 times makes the case pregnant for issue of bonus atleast 1:1....

Hi KM,
The consolidated Results have been really good, and seems a great buy at cmp. there`s a lot of bullishness in the scrip now. losses of previous FY has almost fully been covered in this qtr itself!

--------
excerpts from notes of accounting, Q2 fy10 results:-

Consolidated financial results include unaudited financials of AEI Cables Ltd, United Kingdom and Paramount Holdings Ltd, Cyprus the wholly owned subsidiaries of the company. The share of Profit in Paramount Wires & Cables Ltd, in which the company holds 44.49% Equity Shares would be recognised at the end of the accounting year.
4. During the 2nd quarter, the company has repurchased 1700 foreign currency convertible Bonds (FCCBs) of the face value of USD 5000 each at a discount, pursuant to RBI circular AP (DIR Series) Circular No. 39 dated December 08, 2008 and AP (DIR Series) Circular No. 58 dated March 13, 2009 related to buyback/ prepayment of FCCBs. This has resulted in a writeback of Rs. 2346.12 lacs (Net of write off FEMITDA related to repurchased FCCBs Rs.218.64 lacs) which has been reflected as exceptional item. 5. Pursuant to changes made in AS-11 vide Companies (Accounting Standards) amendment rules 2009, during the quarter foreign exchange difference arising on long term foreign currency monitory items - FCCBs has been adjusted with cost of fixed assets and in other cases the same as been accumulated in `FCMITDA` the financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 do not incorporate the above change

It is not just Nano. Their other products namely CRDi and security systems have been doing well in the market. Their capex is well planned and hence when the sales of automobiles in the indian and international market goes up, Bosch will be an outstanding performer.

Cheers...

Buyback over

Posted by : millionmillion

Buyback offer closed on October 24, 2009.
No shares proposed for buyback - 15,00,000(approx)
No shares bought & extinguished - 6,52,560
Min buyback price - Rs. 2,949.99
Max buyback price - Rs. 3,240.00
Amount invested in buyback - Rs.2,002.93 Million
Percentage Shareholding pre / post buyback (Approx)
Shareholding of Promoter and Promoter Group 69.79 / 71,18
Public Shareholding
Institutions 13.35 / 12.92
Foreign Institutional Investors 5.24 / 4.98
Other Shareholders 9.28 / 10.92

It may be observed that both promoter and other(individual) shareholding has gone up. The previous quarter results are good. With the success of NANO volumes will go up and so are the orders for Engine Management System from Bosch.

I would think all these things are big positives for the company and hence the share price is on the upward trajectory.

Cheers

I don`t trach these two but tried them. Both don`t yet fit into the strict guidelines of Graham. Page has P/E of over 22 which is too high and Venkys has a high Current Ratio.

Some of the factors which Graham has listed to identify value buys are
1. Size. I take it as MCap more than 1000 cr.
2. Current Ratio more than 2.
3. Long term debt less than current assets.
4. Dividend record over past 10 years. I take it for 5 years since Indian markets do not have as long a history as US markets.
5. Present EPS more than 1.5 times EPS 10 years ago (taking trailing 3 years avg in both cases).
6. P/E less than 15

There are some more too but these are the more important ones. The stocks that made the cut in end Sep were Anant Raj Industries, Gammon India, Gateway Distriparks, Gitanjali Gems, Nava Bharat Ventures, Hindustan National Glass& Industries. I have some of them though not all.

Hi Jaggihs:

Appreciate your thought. I too like Micro Inks. I would like to accumulate it at lower levels - it has a decent run in recent times.
I am also looking at Page Industries and Venky`s. Any thoughts based on Graham / Buffet principles?

ok investor i think you are aware of this that currently we are not in bull market it is a bull rally of bear market.you can not say that this will give you good retrn even then if that script is at 52 week high.have you guts to buy tata motors now.i think it will be a suicidal attempt.:)...

Vikrant that is the mistake small investor does, should buy on rise rather than dip, bottom up aproach is good in bear market while in bull run buying on rise, even if it is at 52 weeks high than also has potentail to go up,while in bull market stock falls based on bad news, fundamentals etc
telecom is no more fancy now and bear cartel may hammer down to any extent as they have only few to hammer down
but i believe in bharti and hope and wish that 3G spectrum will bring some joy for this dyingheart

TCI Finance Ltd 13,324,350 15.70

Public free floating shares ( less than 1 lakh rs) is very low in tci finance actually , so being a hugely undervalued stock, once it gets going, targets can be very high.

A company in the expansion mode needs more time as compared to Gujarat State Petronet. The expenses incurred on phenomenal expansion at Dahej and current process of installation of its facilities at Kochi would produce additional revenues over a couple of years.

Investors with 3 years view may BUY this scrip on declines....

Dear Poorfellow,

Have you been holding Geodesic for long? I ask because I have not seen your comments here earlier.

Geodesic has already launched their VOIP product Spokn earlier this month. Are you reffering to something additional to Spokn?
...

In reply to:

Need help !!!

Posted by : poorfellow

Yes, the intrinsic value of Geodesic, an old good stock, cannot be compared with new companies (un-tested strength and intrinsic value like RCom, Bharti Airtel etc.). It is certain that Geodesic will bounce back anytime.

I know particulary the stock Geodesic that it is developing a product which will sensationally thrill the VOIP (Internet voice telephony with genuine giant customers like Google) very shortly. BUY and Hold (Wait) for this stock to jump anytime to 20% UC consecutively for some days within nwxt 20 sessions. Technically, it is now at the major support level of Rs.89/-.
