Indian shares turn negative as Infosys comes off
NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India's main stock index turned negative early on Friday as bellwether Infosys Technologies Ltd fell after starting 3 percent higher.
At 10:05 a.m., the 30-share BSE index was down 0.3 percent at 13,884.51, with 13 of its components in the red, after starting 1 percent higher.
Infosys, which beat expectations with a 21 percent rise in quarterly profit and raised its full-year guidance, gave up gains and was down 2.4 percent at 1,763 rupees.
