Dear kirit,nothing has gone wrong much in india so far fundamentally.... the recent heavy correction/fall due to excessive bull run hang over of previous years.... now the valuations of many stocks looks reasonable,but sentiment is poor due to very bad global/US situation....
The failures of investment bankers like Bearstearns/Lehman/merril/AIG etc etc shivering investors worlwide....
Many blue chip stocks are effected due to these institutions' failures.... now at these lower levels,investors can pick up their loved ones....
Regarding your querry on stocks,mukta and dcb are investment buys at present levels whereas ongc,tisco and icici are trading buys at lower levels till the global turmoil settles....

INR is around=45--45.5,,up to what lavel INR will get weaker is US$ is going strong ,,
if u have oportunity to invest 100 units then how much u allote for mukta,,ongc,tisco,DCB,ICICI,----or tell your priority level of your choice,,i know that u will give secured and fruity item on top,,and also mention why u r not going for some blue chip co's

p.s=i my self feel that when we talk of crime or terrorism then it has clear relationship with population per family per religion,,i mean to say more children per couple leads to more crime and more terorism,,more un employment,,lack of attention for small child,,and today's small child can turn in to tomorows criminal or businessman ??

Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd has informed the Exchange that the Register of Members and Share Transfer Books of the Company will remain closed from September 10, 2008 to September 19, 2008 (both days inclusive) for the purpose of Annual General Meeting and payment of dividend @ 140% i.e. Rs. 14/- per share, for the year 2007-08.
The Annual General Meeting will be held on September 19, 2008.
Further, on confirmation of resolution pertaining to payment of Final Dividend 2007-08 by the shareholders at the AGM, the payment of dividend will start from September 25, 2008 onwards.
holders can please take a note of the dates of AGM and div.pay-out in their records for follow up.

N-deal is started to put adverse effect on indian economy ,market is depend on US now ,we r not free ,we already have 33 percent people BPL below pvoerty line ,and our economy is very weak,
