As per sebi norms 25% public share holding is compulsory in listed companies. So sooner or later both promoter groups have to make decision about their role in the company. Just hope that our patient will pay reasonable return. This is the only silver lining I can see for this stock. I am too heavily invested in this stock.

let me tell u one thing. attitude is very important in business deals. look at what happened when Tata's approached orient hotels. they thought orient would offer the company to Tata's as they had losses. but they did not like the way tata's approached them.
same with gillette, now the parent has understood that this poddar family has attitude problems. they will never bend. why will the MNC succumb to the small poddar's demands. never. MNC's are brutal and very firm minded businessmen. they simply don't care.
i think the stock will only crash in the near future.
better to exit at the current levels. lucky u guys, the stock is still standing firmly strong. it may well crash a bit now in this correction. before that, it will be wise to exit and switch to something like Glaxo or even pfizer.
swamy.

Hi all,
having been a shareholder in gillette for some time now and also starting to lose my patience a bit as nothing seems to be happening.
I personally believe , that the indian promoter is the only way, we , the other (small) shareholders can expect some fairness. If not for Mr. Poddar, gillette would have been cannibalized by now and we as shareholders would have got nothing.
Mr. Poddar is sticking by his guns and has a hefty investment in the same so , unless there is some under the table deal ( i hope not), then shareholders in gillette will be benefitted by the fact, that there is a large non-promoter shareholder.
I wish Mr. poddar the very best and I hope that he will look out for us small shareholders , while the deals are struck. Its going to happen sooner or later and if it doesnt, then i am in big trouble as i have had a hefty investment in this scrip and for a long time now.. its too late for me to cash it as otherwise the past 4 years would have been a waste...
Fingers crossed.
