Thanks amkan for the detailed analysis and information. I am sure it will be of value to other investors of SRF as well, visiting this board.
As you rightly said it is defenitely surprising to see this scrip lying low, but lets really look forward to much better days ahead. And yesss... a gain of 100% in a year is more than sufficient return on any investment.
A sizeable chunk of my portfolio now is SRF and the average price is 188. (But now comes down by Rs 7/- with interim dividend coming soon).
Further I really hope to cut down my accrued losses in some other scrips in which I had invested long time back.... :-(
Thanks again amkan and Happy Investing all...
Kmsry...

Kmsry dont get Upset over the price of SRF.Its really amazing that Co having EPS of 26 over HAlf year and yearly EPS of over 50 expected,SRF share prices are not moving. We have been buying SRF at every opportunity.Question is why SRF share price trading at such lower levels? Now as u must have read my messages Analyst people not happy about COrp Governance At SRF.However As far as we are concerned we understand whatever issues have been their, they are past.Shareholding of the Promoters was low and they have scaled it back to comfortable levels.Since last 2 years they have given liberal dividend.Annual Reports have been informative.
Now we expect Company to post good profits consistently. All the bussiness segments are healthy and subsidiaries are doing good.Analyst wont have any option but to cover the company once it crosses 2200 cr turnoverthis year and again declare DIvidend at year end.So In the meanwhile company is reducing its paid up capital by buying back shares. Also one thing Volumes in SRF are not so high nowadays since All informed investors. For Any operator to get in he must be able to grab a substantial chunk. As time passes and weak hands get out ,Srf will move up.Also i personally dont expect it to go to 2000 etc as some boarders feel.It might go upto 500 in next year.So if u are happy with ur money getting doubled and more in 52 weeks remain here.Expect it move upto 250 by Dec End now in expectation of third Qtr Results.
Its a Safe bet with a good dividend yield and a very low downside.
Hope it clears ur query ...
