tell me why should idbi bring fpo at book value or lower. take book value of all banks & check there current share price. it will be from the range of 1.5 to 3.5. Also idbi has it brand & good position & experaince in Industrail financing. above all it is fast expanding in retail segment....

u can do both,
but booking loss is compulsory
- book loss as it can be used to decrease short term & long term capital gain & hence tax liability for next 4 yrs
- if u think the stock can go below current level, book atleast 50 % of loss at present
- if u think stock may rebound from current level, then first buy 700 shares & sell equal no of shares next day
