In 1883, a creative engineer named John Roebling was inspired by an idea to build a spectacular bridge connecting New York with the Long Island . However bridge building experts throughout the world thought that this was an impossible feat and told Roebling to forget the idea. It just could not be done. It was not practical. It had never been done before.
Roebling could not ignore the vision he had in his mind of this bridge. He thought about it all the time and he knew deep in his heart that it could be done. He just had to share the dream with someone else. After much discussion and persuasion he managed to convince his son Washington, an up and coming engineer, that the bridge in fact could be built.
Working together for the first time, the father and son developed concepts of how it could be accomplished and how the obstacles could be overcome. With great excitement and inspiration, and the headiness of a wild challenge before them, they hired their crew and began to build their dream bridge.
The project started well, but when it was only a few months underway a tragic accident on the site took the life of John Roebling. Washington was injured and left with a certain amount of brain damage, which resulted in him not being able to walk or talk or even move.

US market was looking weak at the opening.
Our market is very much range bound. I feel, if do not break 4921 on closing basis it may cross 5100-5200 range and this may provide lot of short ialution in last two three days of expiry.
Call Put ratio are concentrated highest around 5100-CE and 4900-PE second most building up seen at 5000-PE and 5200-CE
Which means battle is now concentrating in the range of 4900 and 5200.
Either side decisive break out may give huge volatility in December.....
Traders shall not down these levels along with CALL/PUT Ratios on daily basis if do not want to be trapped.
some Trading Ideas for Tomorrow : 19-11-2009
Do not surprise if initial opening may be flat with negative note in first 30 minutes. Traders can seach entry levels at S or R level-1 on close resistance to brek below that...
I do not see any further details to be given to smart traders.
Today`s top gainers were IDFC and TATA MOTORS. We were long in both but only after good break out in Tata Motors. However, we were dad confirmed about up move of IDFC..

Once upon a time there was one storyteller. After getting tired of telling old fabricated stories, he left his house in search of a real life story.
He reached a village and took a cottage for rent. After roaming in the village throughout the month, in search of true story, the storyteller couldn`t find one. Disappointed, he decided to stop his search. The next day, while sitting in the cottage, he suddenly heard a voice - a woman was yelling at someone. The voice was coming from the big wall behind his cottage. He tried to hear the conversation; it sounded like the woman was abusing her daughter-in-law. The storyteller didn`t like it but he was happy to finally get his story. Listening to the conversations each day he added them to his story. Though he couldn`t see the characters of his story, he started hating the Mother-in-law, as she seemed to be villain.
Now it was time to finalize the end of the story. But before he did, the storyteller wanted to see the characters once, so he climbed the wall.
There he saw the mother-in-law sitting in a wheelchair. It seemed she was handicapped and that the daughter-in-law was resting nearby.
He saw the old lady trying to get a food item lying on the table near her chair. But because of her condition, she couldn`t reach it and the daughter-in-law looked like she was enjoying the old lady`s helplessness. Suddenly the old lady fell from the chair and started abusing her daughter in-law.
The storyteller went back and quickly changed the ending of the story and was stunned at how different it was compared to what he originally thought it would be. Truly he had found both a real life story and a real life lesson.
Moral: Never judge a situation unless you know all the aspects well. Sometimes you can`t imagine your distance from the reality.

Dear Sir,
I own some paral and you message seems to suggest that you are not too sure about the prospects of this company and hence have sold out your holding.
Could you kindly shed some light on the matter, as even i am so far disappointed with the performance of this stock and am thinking what to do.

Many thanks for the reply.. it is good to hear that the promoters are good, which was my main concern. I shall continue to hold the same, even if share price does not rise too much but dividends are good, even thats ok by me.
best wishes,

Mukutji,
It does not much matter to me, whether the stock underperforms for a while, as long as its a fundamentally strong stock...Could you kindly re-assure, whether to your good judgement, this company has its fundamentals intact and more importantly, that it has honest and hard working promoters?
I am in fact, more worried about promoters of a company rather than its business, hence if promoters are bad, i will happily take a loss and exit the stock , before i lose any further money.
I will look forward to your informed reply,
best wishes,

UTV software has a very very low floating stock and hence , while i am tempted at different times to sell at a high and buy back at a lower price, i refrain from doin so, because i dont know when it will happen, but provided utv software remains fundamentally strong, i will end up selling high.. and then will not get an easy opportunity to buy it back.. one has to be careful in holding stocks which have a low free float.. thats all...

The warrants were convertible at rs.860.00 a share... 10 percent advance was paid, which has been forfeited and warrants have lapsed, with unilazer saying, that they give up the rights to the warrants.
With cmp at 450 and warrants convertible at rs.860, it comes as no surprise that warrants were allowed to lapse without buying into them.
An ideal situation would have been if promoter had bought the warrants at 860, even while current share price is 450.. but this is less than an ideal world..and other than probabaly the TATAs, i dont think any promoter would have bought them..
Anyway, the warrants story is now over, but now UTV is doing a 750 crore placement and now it remains to be seen, what they do regarding this, as i think this is the last stumbling block,we as shareholders will have to pass... needless to say, once this placement is done, our stake in company will half, as equity is going to be diluted, but on the other hand, companywill be worth much more than it is now.. i am looking forward to seeing as to what will happen, as i have no ideas regarding this at this stage.
Best wishes,
samir....

Q3 results are expected to be extremely bad.... if one must get into the telecom sector, i would think a good time to buy would be in jan feb, before the results are announced, as that time, market will be expecting the worst and hence tele stock prices will be very subdued.
Further, since telecom stocks are expected to underperform atleast for the next few quarters, there is no hurry to get into them at this time, and in fact, one should at this stage move into another sector that is performing, or else will find that he/she had capital tied in a stock for a year and not only did the capital did not appreciate.. instead, its probabaly showing a loss..
Careful- Friday idea went lower on huge volumes, there is liquidation going on.
Best wishes,
samir.
PS- there might be some relief rallies in tele stocks, but those should be used to liquidate and not to accumulate.. but as usual, public is going to do exactly the opposite :-)...
