Whether the structure at Ayodhya was a temple or a mosque can be answered only by experts, says the Liberhan Commission that probed the Babri Masjid demolition.
The Commission, whose report was tabled in parliament Tuesday, said that the issue cannot be resolved without the participation of experts.
`The disputes between various groups about the provenance of monuments, temples and other structures have survived into this day and age, and like in the case of the Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid issue, are capable of fomenting unnecessary and unwanted trouble and disharmony,` the exhaustive report said in its chapter `Recommendations`.
`The question whether a structure was a temple or a mosque can only be answered by a scientific study by archaeologists, historians and anthropologists,` it said.
`It is therefore my recommendation that a statutory national commission be composed of acknowledged experts to delve into these questions of the provenance of historical monuments, artefacts and their determination should be deemed to be definitive and final

Extending the market time will give the local mutual funds more room to justify their further delay in releasing the COB NAV for funds. Normally they all wait for the US mkt. opening indications before assigning a Fair Price Value to their funds but they call it a NAV of the fund. Mark my word, arbitrary valuation of the fund will be the next biggest fraud to hit the Indian stock market any day now....

What`s ur opinion on Time increase for share mkt 9 - 5. I think morning time is right we can compare with Singapur Nifty but evening time is not giving any gain . closing time 3.30 is perfect if they want to increase time then increase up to 7pm atleast we will cose with commodity mkt.

Different people of different ideologies are found in all countries and in all professions. Now some one hating MK Gandhi must have joined Ration Card department and issued it. We cannot generalise all with one incident. And news paper got something to write :D...

According to a newspaper report A ration card in the name of "Father of Nation" (i.e. M.K Gandhi) was made and the name of father of M.K. Gandhi was mentioned as "Nathu Ram Godse" and even the photograph on the ration card was that of the father of the nation !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So what shud be done with such BABUs ?

METHOD OF PICKING STOCKS FOR BUY CONTD…
FUNDAMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS
Just about every stock that is trending upward has improving earnings. However not every stock trend has staying power. While the stock’s trend is as trustworthy as anything we can find to indicate and improvement in the company’s outlook, what we need is a simple way to increase our odd/chances of picking companies where the trend is likely to continue. Therefore investor should study following two ratios.
PRICE/EARNING (P/E) RATIO ;- Ratio is calculated by dividing current market price by last years earning per share. The only thing a low P/E ratio tells us is that the stock is selling for a low price relative to the previous year’s earnings. It does not tell us whether that years’ earnings were unusually high or low, whether the company is growing or will grow in the future.etc. Using P/E ratios to determine the attractiveness of an investment is based on a naive , static view of the world. It is like using last month’s weather forecast to schedule this month’s picnic. It is not so much that the information is inaccurate; it is just too dated and limited to be of much use.
Beginners believe that a stock this selling a low p/E ratio must increase in value. This approach to selecting stocks is wrong because it assumes all companies have roughly the same prospects for future earnings growth. But the reality is that companies have vastly different out looks for growing earning and that is why the market rightly assigns a low P/E ratio to some stocks and high one to others. Mover this ratio is mainly based on earnings that are easily manipulated. If you know little about accounting you know that the vary concept of earning is highly theoretical. Earning can be easily increased by change in stock valuations, change in depreciation system and capitalizing revenue expenses of running business to project account and many more. Earnings are also quite volatile: a wide variety of short-term factors can push them up or down for a quarter or two.
P/S RATIO
SALES GROWTH ON THE OTHER HAND IS A SUPERIOR TOOL FOR DETERMINING TREND SUSTAINABILITY, FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS
1 In most industries sales are far less volatile than earnings. Because the relative merits of competitors’ products don not change overnight. We seldom see a situation where customers switch suppliers en masse. A company generally loses market share to another quite gradually.
2 Sales and revenues are not easily manipulated to inflate reported results. Sales are real and measurable. Usually they refer to the products actually billed and shipped for the reporting period. Companies trying to “improve” reported results seldom play with the sales line of the income statement.; they play with the lines below the sales line.
3 Earning growths without sales are generally not sustainable.
4 Sales growths is probably the best, most reliable indicator of whether the company’s value proposition is attractive to customer.
So see that sales are growing at some acceptable rate of growth- the higher the better but I would certainly like to see at least double digit sales growth in the recent years
NOW MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION IS HOW DO YOU USE SALES GROWTH AS A STOCK SELECTION CRITERION? Multiply one –year sales growth rates by one year share price growth to obtain a growth factor. This will be an indicator of market trend strength and trend sustainability.

OTHER POINTS TO BE KEPT IN MIND
(A) Pick Entrepreneurial Management Rather than Caretakers.
(B) Look for companies buying their own shocks in the open market. It is a good sign. 10% buy back should be considered good.
(C) A Low Corporate Debt-to-Equity Ratio is generally Better
(D) Lastly see Supply and Demand
Beginners should not search for other ratios or otherwise they will be confused and make the search of stock complicated. Excessive screening criteria can hurt your results. Applying successive layers of screening criteria can actually, exclude the best gainers from your portfolio

NOTE:- In the end of the series I will give a foolproof formula for the benefit of INVESTOR. If followed as it is no investor will loose in the market even if he is six times wrong out of 10 times.

Just delete them. Believe it or not, these mails do get responsed to encourage crooks keep trying different versions. Nigeria is the biggest rogue country in this fraud. No matter how many times you are told there is no free lunch, some believe they are exceptions. This human weakness will get exploited all the time.

WOW ! She is the Supreme commander of the armed forces and hence fits the bill to take that flight. But I a sure she must have undergone training and a medical examination and must have had to wear a G suit. You cant just walk into a Sukhoi sortie. And did they fly her at the max supersonic speed?? I have my doubts..But she is a brave lady...kudoos to her .
Its a matter of great honour to don the Army Uniform. Not everyone has the privelege. And it transforms you...literally.MD have you seen that Army National Anthem which plays in the movie halls before the movie? Its great.
I have had four generations in the army...and I am so proud for that. INDIAN ARMED FORCES ROCK.

earlier it was a hobby for many investors and now it is a full time job for lacs of people.so timing as suggested and approved by sebi should be implemented.this will reduce the high vlatility which is manipulated by traders with huge pockets....

Pratibha in the sukhoi with Wing Commander Sajjan Singh.
I think even markets wont give that high or the Ms India crown as being a fighter pilot for the Airfoce isnt it. .your hubby would know best about these feelings in an AIRFORCE UNIFORM or naval uniform or Army Uniform.....

AAAAAAAAAAA Pal Pal dil ke paas...MD I have more than two doz records of this song. When I was in college someone used to post them to me!! I dont know who he was...but you play this song in my house and I have everyone clearing their throats and nudging each other just to bug the hell out of me.
Finally going tomorrow to vaishno devi. Its one helluva climb,but I will take the chopper....might walk back....but then again might hop in the chopper again!!
I have posted some pics of my trip on facebook so my kids can see them . but once I am back tomorrow I will post a whole lot more.
This pic loading on MMB is really sad. These guys should give the option of an album too (like in FB) and it should be left to you who can see those pics...but all that is futile thinking I guess ..when they cant even update your profile picture.

Japan Exports Fall Least in a Year on Global Stimulus
Japans exports fell at the slowest pace in a year in October as worldwide government spending boosted demand, sustaining the economic recovery. Shipments abroad slid 23.2 percent from a year earlier, compared with a 30.6 percent decline in September, the Finance Ministry said.
Exports helped the economy expand at the fastest pace in more than two years in the third quarter, even as prices of goods declined and the yen gained. Imports slid 35.6 percent from a year earlier, the ministry said. The improvement in exports helped the trade surplus climb to 807.1 billion yen ($9.1 billion), the biggest since March 2008. From a month earlier, exports rose 2.5 percent, the fastest pace since April.
Asian economies are benefiting from a global trade rebound thats being driven by interest-rate cuts and more than $2 trillion in government spending worldwide. Taiwans export orders climbed in October for the first time in 13 months. Chinese exports fell at the slowest pace in 10 months.
Shipments to Asia fell 15 percent from a year earlier, easing from a 22.2 percent drop in September, the ministry said. An index measuring the volume of exports to Asia rose to the highest in a year. Exports to China, Japans biggest overseas customer, slipped 14.3 percent, compared with a 13.8 percent decline the previous month.
Sales to the U.S. fell 27.6 percent, moderating from Septembers 33.9 percent decrease as retail sales in Japans second-largest market picked up. Exports to Europe slid 29 percent after slumping 38.6 percent.
While exports are leading Japans recovery, weakness in the domestic economy persists. Falling prices in Japan threaten to squeeze profits and wages. The government last week declared the economy is in deflation for the first time in three years and pressed the Bank of Japan to be more aggressive about tackling price declines.
