The Sensex opened 51 points higher at 17,231 on the back of smart gains in the US markets. The index, however, could not move any further higher as subdued cues from the Asian markets coupled with anxiousness ahead of the impeding derivatives expiry this Thursday weighed on the market sentiment.
The index soon slipped into red, and dropped to a low of 17,028 - down 203 points from the day`s high - in early noon trades. Steady buying in auto stocks and some pull back in select banking and IT stocks saw the index cut losses towards the close.
The Sensex finally ended with a loss of 49 points at 17,131.
The NSE Nifty touched a high of 5,113 in early trades, and then dropped to a low of 5,054. The index settled with a loss of 13 points at 5,091.
The BSE Auto index moved up 1.4% to 7,056. The FMCG index was down almost 1% at 2,887.

Dear Khem cho,
All available information is fully factored in Eliott Waves which is another form of Technical Analysis. In Eliott Wave, we simply use higher Fibo number if news flow is contiously positive. So no chance of mistake.
By this method, I elaborate the next level of minor resistance for Nifty which may be seen within 2-3 days.
Highest point for Nifty on 24 November = 5113
Lowest point of Nifty after the above point = 5053
Value Lost = 60
Upward Retracement = 60 x 1.618 = 97
Possible point of Resistance = 5053 + 97 = 5150
Actual resistance may be in the range of 5160-5170 which is confirmed by Nifty chart of last 5 weeks....

When the first promoter of Ranbaxy Bhai Mohan Singh (whose grandson is the present day promoter Malvinder Singh) was born he fell into hot coal? He was born in Rawalpindi district of Punjab now in Pakistan. His father Bhai Gyan Chand was a Hindu and his mother Sunder Dai was a Sikh.
In Punjab those days to keep a neonate and its mother warm they would keep a charcoal stove (or Angeethi) under the bed... bhai manmohan singh accidentally fell into the coal and sustained severe burns. With no doctors for miles around, his parents could only seek divine intervention. They took their child to the village Gurudwara, the only place of worship available for Hindus. There, bhai Gyan Chand vowed that if his son survived, he would make him a Sikh.
Bhai Manmohan Singh recovered quickly. When he turned three, his father, true to his word, made him a Sikh. This led to many of his relatives making their children Sikhs. By the time he was 5, Bhai Mamohan Singh was reciting verses from the Guru Granth Sahib. When he was 13, Bhai Manmohan Singh tried to cut his long hair short. This infuriated his father so much that he made him do penance for over a month and was given very little food and made to walk to the Gurudwara everyday under the blazing sun to atone for his sin....

Rain Water Harvesting Mandatory for New building
From November 1 rain water harvesting will be mandatory for new buildings. The recent amendment of the BWSSB Act that’s made rain water harvesting mandatory for new and bigger old buildings could bring about a change. Provided, citizens understand the law, get the system installed and also trained in handling it.
People need professional help to design a system complying with the law. They also need trained plumbers and masons as well as money to invest in the structure. Some plumbers and masons well versed in this are listed on the BWSSB website.
Rain water if captured can generate water equivalent to 3000 MLD, almost double the current demand. It can also reduce the massive problem of flooding in Bangalore to a great extent, say experts.Depending on design, orientation and catchment area of the house, you could pay between Rs 8,000 and Rs 75,000 to set up the system.
If you don’t have an RWH unit, your water and sanitary connections could be cut. However, there are rewards for installing one. After an assessment by the BWSSB in January 2010, five houses will be selected and rewarded Rs 10,000 each.

dear khem cho,
Relcom is in trouble due to many and varying reasons. The ongoing tussle between Anil and the Govt will be a big negative for this counter.
It is better to play safe in that counter.
Regarding IFCI- it being a high beta trading counter, probably players like bubbu and Lifoy can handle the query better.

Dear MS,
You have to understand two things - What determines the interest rates & why the housing rates are high.
If the interest rates are kept low it gives rise to inflation. Not only commodity prices, but flat prices will be further pushed up, which will give rise to asset bubbles. Secondly housing prices are rising due to the nexus betwen the builder lobby & the govrnment.(ofcourse in some places like mumbai where there is a dearth of land it can be real, but in other places it is sheer manipulation.)
If the government decides to develop infrastructure like in Navi mumbai & provide vast tracts of land with proper amenities & transport, the propety prices will be affordable.
Regarding NRI`s they are not allowed to invest in agricultural land, in stock market their profits are taxed as TDS & loss adjustment is not done, they get a very low interest rates & if at all they have to repatriate their profits lot of hassles are placed.
Plus nobody gives them loan at ease.

Dear HLN,
Welcome back after vacation. A query please- In your wave theory are you giving inputs for the stimulus package, dollar weakness, interest rates, gold rates & other unforeseen factors.

We are not united now ,how can be united that time? Any way if one read Nandan Nilekeni`s `Imagining India`, we will have a different perception.

RN,
We have to look at history & be grateful that we are lucky to have a democratic setup.
What do you think, if the British would have not come to India where would India would had been? United, strong, weak, rich or poor?

To add to the debate,
All parties in India have the same agendas & are equally corrupt. Only difference is that with the Congress the loot is shared by people of different spectra & in BJP the loot is gobbled by the upper caste only.

Shame on you for posting such a message. Civilised & educated people having such thoughts is a matter of concern for everybody. You have fallen down, with no hope for mankind. Instead of Grace & love, you are speaking of revenge.

Dear Netdo,
It was just sarcastic reply for haters of non-veg, who consider themselves as pure. Food habits are tied to geography & climatic conditions etc.

Dear captain,
Entering into such debates demeans this board & the spirit for which this forum is meant for. Its my personal opinion that religion should be kept out of this forum as it is personal & all the members awareness are remarkably high. Hope you will take this in the right spirit.
Thanks & Regards...
