Dear nadhi,

me also feel so about the current downtrend in telecom being and intermediate one..the strong ones will sustain and keep growing their businesses over the period of time..
regarding kavveri, it has a cery clear and definite edge over its competition, as seen from its bottom lines, and hope they keep exploiting and buildig on their advantages. I have some holdings in it, and am pretty postive on kavveri. right now, its value price, can shoot up any time soon i guess.
About natural capsules, and beckons i`ll post more soon. natural, i feel theres very good upsides ,and short term outlook very stable. beckons is atogether different story, if it reaches to a stage where it comercialises the technology, which right now is in development stages, it could be a goldmine.
Pls check the previous posts on beckons board, also the website beckons(dot)org.
Revenues right now coming in from its overseas setup in UAE dealing with stationery products/manuf/trade. has good land bank. equity recently gone up to 80Cr.but mainly, its future lies in biofuels.

Regards,

Jashn...

Dear jashn24,

Out of the three, Kavveri telecom looks attractive in price. But telecom being the "laggard" now it may give better opportunities in the coming months. I am just thinking of it`s hey days when it was quoted around Rs300/=.

The remaining two I will have a look. It seems that they are almost at 52 week high.

fortis - Discussions on this board were becoming monotonous and I was running out of topics.

Now at least you are agreed that this market and nation has more cheats than one. Maybe it might be appropriate to say that most of them, if not all of them, are cheats and only the level defers,

So better to be a master of cheats than an ordinary one. The crime and the guilt is same. Also as you grow all of a sudden you have to take care of so many crooks.

Come on please be practical and change the level of discussion on this board.

Do you think I should buy RCOM well below book valuation? Please nobody laugh I am quite serious and I will certainly buy 50 shares tomorrow.

it was panic selling, crashed in 10 mins., most probably was because of Satyam fall. But the selling was being lapped up as it recovered from 150 to 154. Satyam, there was that news of CBI claiming the fraud to be of 14000 cr. and hence the fall. The surprising thing is that it didnt fall much in the opening and was trading at around 98-99, but suddenly fell to 90 in afternoon and so did Maytas fell along with it....

any theories pqji, mukutji, rambholeji as to todays crash? Is it a reflection of satyam and if so surprising as the two are now no way connected. satyam ofcourse there was panic selling by retailers for no apparent reason as there was no bad news as such adversely affecting it.

dear nadhi,

i agree, there`s some time now on hands to start accumualting some of the value buys now :)

IFL, hope u havent picked up all in one go, i believe, it should be taken up in parts, for the long haul ahead, for very patient guys, eventhough it`s bottoming out, its looking intensely bearish.but on the other hand, as you say, these are the times when such value stocks should be started accoumation.
my main concern on IFL is, new promoters
now having 89% of the equity, so what happens when they decide to delist?
and shoudl we expect it to be delisted..
because ifl price doesnt seem to be moving anywhere in a hurry, and what if, out of the blue, announcement comes, when price has already fallen more?
please shed further light on this , much appreciated.

Regards,
jashn

Dear jashn24,

We can only find out the quality iof a stock and the market may take it`s own time to realise it. As far as I am concerned I am satisfied if the merits of a stock is good. If it is not rccogonised early you are fortunate that you can accumulate with ease.

The index had gone high but not the value stocks. Exploiting the nervousness of the retailers is going on. I see no hurry at all with the biggies. They will be slowly and steadily pruning and accumulating for the next 45 days.

As you said I too on the hunt for adding few stocks. IFL may give me more opportunity at these levels. I may go for a buy tomorrow.

Anil Ambani is legally entitled to be reinstated vice chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) if its de-merger on the basis of the family pact fails, counsel for Reliance Natural Resources Ltd (RNRL) told the Supreme Court Wednesday.

The failure of the de-merger scheme also exposes RIL to the prospect of being wound up, said Ram Jethmalani, counsel for RNRL, while arguing before the three-member bench that is hearing the high-profile Krishna-Godavari gas dispute case.

"This will not be in the interests of millions of RIL shareholders," the counsel told the bench of Chief Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, Justice B. Sudershan Reddy and Justice P. Sathasivam.

"Under Section 392 of the Companies Act, if the scheme is not implemented, as envisaged, Anil Ambani is entitled to be reinstated in RIL board with full powers as existed before the July 27, 2004 board resolution."

Prior to that, Anil Ambani was vice chairman, managing director and on the board of RIL.

The senior counsel said since Anil`s elder brother Mukesh is chairman of the company and its "alter ego" now, neither he nor the company were entitled to take the position that the family reorganisation pact was not known and take exemption from its liabilities.

He said the RIL board resolution of July 27, 2004, virtually stripped Anil Ambani of all powers, status, honour and dignity while giving complete control to Mukesh Ambani. "This was the source of both anger and humiliation for Anil Ambani," he said.

"As promoter-director -- lifetime director -- Mukesh Ambani is not liable to retirement and does not require the resolution of shareholders," said Jethmalani.

Accordingly, RIL cannot claim that the family business reorganisation pact brokered by Kokilaben, the widow of the empire`s founder Dhirubhai Ambani, between her two feuding sons, is not binding on the company.

"The court has the power to supervise the scheme (of de-merger) which definitely ensures all hurdles are removed in the proper implementation of the scheme, particular those arising from dishonest conduct."

The three-member bench has been hearing the dispute over the supply of 28 million units of gas for 17 years at $2.34 per unit to Anil Ambani-led RNRL from the gas fields off the Andhra Pradesh coast, awarded to Mukesh Ambani`s RIL.

The price, tenure and quantity were based on the 2005 family pact, but RIL subsequently said it could only sell the gas for $4.20 per unit, as this was the price, the company claimed, fixed by the government.

The Bombay High Court had earlier ruled in RNRL`s favour.

The stock of Triveni Engineering appears to be now well-engineered to head towards Rs 150 zone. And the reasons are aplenty - rise in Nett profit by 175% in its latest announced results. Other hint is by the result of Balrampur Chini in UP itself, which has gone up by about 290%, the result of Shree Renuka Sugar, which has appreciated its Nett profit by about 250%. And the profitable journey continues. This co is ideally located in the sugar producing heart of EAST-northen UP, and the market is readily available in the metropolis cities itself, amid demand-supply gap that is going to be firm. Apart from this, the sugar Farmers` imbroglio has now been solved, for the better rate than expected. It will all benefit this well-diversified and engineered sugar-giant and one can see its share price zoom past Rs 150 level, in about 2 months time. Accumulate this stock at every decline, if any. ...
