As per the annual report of Guj Flouro, they have purchased shares/mf of different companies worth more than 500 crore as of March 08. Now the share values of shares of most companies are at 30% of the price last year. Does that mean they have to book MTM losses of 350 crore?...

Dear Friend , Why shd the co shut down, when it is minting profits, both from Operations ( Refregirants ) and Carbon Credit ? It is not fair to just create rumours on this cheaply available Bluechip.
This GFL is a low Cap high profit well managed midcap gaint .
Regarding Buyback, obviously when scrips are battered down everyday , why will the co buyback at a higher price, if they can buy at a low throw away price lateron ?
I suggest Boarders to come out with strong opinions on such Buybacks thru Stock Exchanges by any Co, using shareholders funds....The Profits and Reserves of any co belongs to all shareholders... If they are bought thru exchanges and extinguished, the Promoter holding goes up, without any investment by the promoter , using the Reserves , which belongs to all shareholders..... I think the Scheme itself is a major fraud on other shareholders, who deserve a higher Dividend or growth , if any co has high reserves for Buyback .
Fine if the Buyback is at a fixed price from all shareholders thru open offer..... But this thru Exchange Buyback helps none except the Promoters using all shareholders money....
