GVK Power and Infrastructure (GVKPIL), an arm of the GVK group, has plans to sell 25% stake in its energy business, reports Economic Times.
The company is in discussion with some global private equity funds and a European bank for the proposed deal, which is valued at around USD 500-700 million.
A term-sheet is a non-binding agreement setting forth the basic terms. The company is waiting for gas supplies from Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Gas Corporation for two of its power plants in the state.
Reliance Gas Corporation has entered into an agreement with GVKPIL to supply 8.94 million cubic metres of gas per day for the gas-based power plants in Andhra Pradesh. The Mumbai-based company would be producing 40 million cubic metres per day of gas in the first phase.

In the long term say 2-3 years the stock seems good as couple of their projects should have completed in the power generation sector.... and incase they offload 25% stacke thru FDI .... may help the co....

Sentiments are not good since 11 months and people are not looking to buy anything. They want to sit on cash that`s why the stock which has recorded highest price of around 95 has fallen to 10 rupee.
This is the chance to cash on the opportunity presented by the market.
The stock is not bad at all at 13-20 Rs price band.It can prove to be a multibagger in next 2-3 years.
Enjoyyyyyyyyyyyy the coming profits.
