Unless you need funds for avery special purpose remain invested in this kind of stocks for better future. For children education or their daughters marriage one can rely on this kind of stocks.

Dear Man,
Thanks for your guidance. I am holding Novartis since 2001. My wife is is also holding another lot inherited from her Late father ( Acquired during original IPO sometime in late 50 ).
As such dividend yield is very good and there is no need to exit unless situation compels.

you are wrong about this as the share price has fallen to 363 from a high of 378....
that ways you will hold the stock forever, and never realize the gains,
i believe that atleast the capital should be saved out from an investment atleast.
regards....
Dear Avi,
You may pl hold this stock for time being as it is too early to decide for disposal in market.
i am holding the share from 1977 onwards when it was known as Hindustan Ciba....
open offer , i mean ,...
even if the management does get shares at 251, wont it result in a very low floating stock and hence wont the price jump post buy back?...
I cannot say that. Let us wait for the announcement from the company....
It could b just possible now since the market rate is 368/- now....
Remaining shareholders will get 6 months time to surrender their shares to the company at the open offer price, even after the company decides to delist its shares from SE.
You can sell these shares even now in the market....
Dear Vkk43,
Looks like it may not be feasible for me to participate in Open Offer as I no more live in India. If decide to opt out and eventually Co. management decides to delist do the remaining share holders get any chance to surrender their holding at the same open offer price ?
If that is not the case it may be good idea to sell the holding in the market.
Looking forward for your guidence.
Thanks,
Avijitb...
does this mean the open offer is likely to be revised from 351. I hope we get soem clarity ASAP...
The undertone of the share is firm and it is now traded at 368/-....
