Cummins India Ltd has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended June 30, 2009:
The Company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 896.60 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 where as the same was at Rs 882.40 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2008. Total Income is Rs 6560.40 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 where as the same was at Rs 7447.00 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2008.
The Scheme of Amalgamation of Cummins Sales & Services India Ltd (CSS) and Cummins Auto Services Ltd (CASL) with the Company approved by the Honble High Court of Judicature, Mumbai became operative on April 01, 2009 retrospectively from April 01, 2008, the Appointed Date and given effect to in the Financial Statements for the year ended March 31, 2009 and results for the quarter ended June 30, 2009. Consequently, the same are not comparable with those of the corresponding previous period, which are as published last year....

With reference to earlier annoucement dated May 26, 2009 regarding the Financial Results of the Company for the year ended March 31, 2009, Cummins India Ltd has now informed BSE that the Company have noticed certain errors in Consolidated Results and Segment Wise Results & Capital Employed which occurred inadvertently in the published results. Further the Company has confirmed that the audited and signed accounting statement remain accurate. However, due to erroneous logic in the Excel spreadsheet that summarizes the
published results had certain errors.
The Company has submitted the Errata for the same with corrected figures. The Company has also submitted the financial results with corrected figures (marked in Bold and Italics) for the year ended March 31, 2009.
Further the Company has informed that the Board of Directors of the Company have approved the corrected figures through circular resolution on June 02, 2009....
