HCL Technologies and iLumen today announced a strategic relationship to power CapitalStream, HCL`s business and commercial lending system, using iLumen technology.

The combined offering will extend Capital Stream`s Straight Thru Processing solution to allow a bank`s customers to send financial statements, information and documents through a secure electronic portal thereby improving customer data and relationship management while also lowering costs and enhancing portfolio management.

The partnership will include both technical product integrations and co-marketing arrangements.

HCL Technologies announces Q1 results

Mixed results.
Revenue up 29% in the Qtr to Rs 3031 crs.
Net Profit down 3% to Rs 320 crs.
Hedging Losses of Rs 151 crs in the quarter is a major reason for the fall in Net Profits.
Mr Vineet Nair CEO Is on record saying" Our hedging strategy went horribly wrong and we will continue to incur forex losses till Sept 2010. Forex Hedge stands at $ 725 million."
The hedges made in 2007 will therefore continue making losses for the next 4-5 quarters.
The silver lining is that Axxon is helping the company to get new business and going forward the management sees topline growth at @%.
In a comparison with the top three IT cos, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, I feel that HCLT will remain at Number 4 in all respects....
