We don’t think that the amount of debt is a problem for us. We have added close to 4,20,000 tonne of capacity, so it is a huge capacity—it is doubling our size. The market is there, demand is there and the prices are firm, so we are not unduly worried about the debt from that point of view.

The Old Fox of Dalal Street and a private bank-promoted mutual fund have been accumulating shares of paper manufacturer Ballarpur Industries (Bilt) in large numbers over the past few sessions. A few days ago, the Rar(e)ing Bull had picked up one crore shares of Bilt.
These veterans taking a fancy for the stock all at the same time has sparked off speculation in the market that some corporate announcement could be in the offing. The company recently announced its third-quarter results (accounting year is June to May), with revenues remaining near-flat at Rs 6.9 billion, while EBITDA margins falling by 650 bps to 19.8%.
