Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended September 30, 2009:

The results for the Quarter ended September 30, 2009

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 205.84 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 as compared to Rs 914.93 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008. Total Income has decreased from Rs 13552.97 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 to Rs 11161.31 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2009....

dont bother about re 1 , watch out u may c yr capital slowly eroding- c my earlier comments 75 maybe achieved in a day or two then wait for q2 results and then consider buying again at least ur ave will be lower

The issue of BSNL is around the corner and before its the price of MTNL will be surely be jacked up. Buy for great return in stock....

Internally it is working for RCOM/Airtel. The way telecome minister office raided by CBI it is clearly that all top people working for pvt operators....

MTNL has huge cash reserve..only operation profit is not there now. However intrest income is more than operational profit. It can maintain dividend payout.
Due to corruption in DOT, at higher level is leading operational loss. Telecom ministers office is raided by CBI likely to broke out corruption at higher levels.
BSNL/MTNL killed by corruption at higher levels otherwise hey have strong infrastructure, cash huge land bank.
Lets hop CBI finds eveidence in telecom ministers office....

Record date for MTNL dividend payout was over sometime in september. Now its october end. Has anybody received the dividend of 1 per share declared till now.
