Infosys BPO, the business processing outsourcing subsidiary of Infosys Technologies, inked a definitive agreement to acquire all of the outstanding interests of McCamish Systems, a premier business process solutions provider, based in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States. The acquisition is expected to be completed later this year subject to the satisfaction of certain closing conditions.
The upfront consideration for the deal is USD 38 million with up to an additional USD 20 million payable to the sellers if McCamish Systems achieves certain financial targets in the future. The acquisition is expected to enhance the capability of Infosys to deliver end-to-end business solutions for the insurance and financial services industries.

Any idea on Infosys in next One year?
Posted by : GuestHi all, I`m a long term investor in Infosys and currently holding 2000 shares. After a steady rise from 1800 level to 2200 level, I was under the impression that it would reach 2500 shortly. But it looks like the stock is fluctuating between 2100-2300 levels and seeking direction. Can anybody please let me know their views on this stock? Opinions with a bit of reason/analysis would be highly appreciated....

IT stocks are up today and Infy is one of the big gainers.
As per software industry body Nasscom, the Indian IT sector is likely to return to the double growth figures by FY11. This optimism is on the back of the improvement in the overall business environment. As for the current financial year, Nasscom is of the view that the sector will grow at a rate of 4% to 7%. Nasscom is of the opinion that the industry will grow at a compounded rate of about 14% over the next 10 to 12 years.
Further, Nasscom is reported to have charted out a strategy which involves seeking opportunities beyond the top six cities to the other 43 identified cities. Such a move will reduce the overall operational cost for the IT industry thereby boosting its margins. While the pace of work (in the form of outsourcing) from international clients will continue, although at a relatively slower pace, business from the domestic markets will only make the scenario better for the Indian IT industry.

Opens Second centre in Mexico

Infosys Technologies has opened its second development centre in Monterrey, Mexico, serving as a near shore unit to serve the regions of
North America, Latin American and Europe. The development centre will provide technology services for clients in all industries including banking, financial services, manufacturing, retail, distribution, insurance and many others, Infosys said in a notice to the stock exchanges.
“From our first development centre opening with a few clients and a dozen employees, we now have some 30 clients and 330 professionals,” said Ashok Vemuri, senior vice president, Infosys. After examining several countries in the region, Infosys chose to establish its presence in Mexico due to the broad language skills available in the region, its geographical proximity to Canada, the US and the Europe, the notice said.
