Gammon India Ltd. has informed the Exchange regarding extract of the proceedings of the Extra-ordinary General Meeting of the Company held on October 23, 2009. At the aforesaid meeting, the requisite quorum being present, Mr. Chandrahas C Dayal, Non Executive Director or the Company took the Chair and commenced proceedings of the meeting.(1). The shareholders passed the Special Resolution authorizing the Board of Directors of the Company to raise capital by issuing securities to the Qualified Institutional Buyers in accordance with the provisions of Chapter VIII of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2009 and other applicable laws upto an amount not exceeding USD 200 Million. (2). The Shareholders also approved Increase / variation in remuneration payable to Mr. Himanshu Parikh - Executive Director of the Company....

1. The shareholders passed the Special Resolution authorizing the Board of Directors of the Company to raise capital by issuing securities to the Qualified Institutional Buyers in accordance with the provisions of Chapter VIII of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2009 and other applicable laws upto an amount not exceeding USD 200 Million.

my dad made a fortune in this stock .

bot it at rs 4 in 1973/74 n sold it at 1000 (fv:10) @ 4/5 yrs back....

Promoted by Gammon India, the company is a part of the Gammon group, which is an 83-year old diversified business group with civil engineering and construction as its major business interests.

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.05, or 0.05%, to settle at Rs 102.55. The total volume of shares traded was 37,859 at the BSE (Friday). ...

Happy diwali

Accidents are bound to occur in any business.

How many railway accidents has occured
How many air craft disaster- Boeing still in business
How many transport bus accident- Ashok leyland and Tata motors are still in business

NO ONE HAS WOUND UP NOR THEIR MARKET IS DOWN BECAUSE OF THE ACCIDENTS.

Are we not travelling daily

When no one cried over the rooF when more than 100 passengers were electrocuted standing in Bombay suburban train-

Chief: The issue is there are so few choices right now (even Delhi metro CEO said the same).. Else - Gammon would have been thrown out a couple of years ago.. None the less, it may happen if they dont correct.

Can you suggest some script in same space to invest?
