Why falling?

There is big difference in Chennai Petroleum and other Oil Manufacturing Companies. Other OMCs are refining as well as marketing. Effect of high crude price is negative for other OMCs. Where as for Chennai petroleum increase in crude price is positive as Chennai Petroleum is only refining and selling product at international price. High crude means high GRM which leads to very high profit for chennai petroleum.
So buy buy and buy Chennai Petroleum. ...

Crude is up 5% still chennai petroleum is falling... Strange. High crude price means high refining margin means high profit for CPCL. It should go up minimum 10% today.
Can any one answer why this is falling today???...
c my earlier prediction dated 16/09 below-next target 275+ within acouple of days
earlier message---
wow-what a rally- the share has broken out and is posed to cross 250 and then 275 in oct series-happy hunting- kill those shorts... ........

It is still fundamentally weak. Chennai Petro has to earn Rs 46.56 in September quarters to have trailing EPS of zero.
However, it is technically strong. As per Morgan Stanley report, average price of crude in 2010 will be Rs 85, and in 2011 it will be 95.
So future may be bright, but present is dismal....
Sell it now.

Guestwhat about the last two qtrs profits which was despite crude being much lower than what it is today ???...
Sell it now.

dr_bullIt has risen to dizzy heights recently. Although the crude price are falling which lead to reduced refining margins and inventory losses to it, it is rising with oil marketting companies. It is purely refinery. It has suffered annual loss of Rs. 394 crores during 2008-09. Negative EPS of Rs. 26. with negative return RONW of -12.2%. Dividend also skipped this year. ...

This counter is a classic example of poor fundamentals and strong technicals.
If the current trend continues for 2 quarters, then only it PE will be 3 of current price.
Presently, for last 4 trailing quarter, the EPS is negative.
So there is still big risk, when buying at current price....
guys remember, this stock is still trading at 3x PE while the industry average is 30 x. ...
