NO! I meant if you spotted the bunch going by names like brahmakumari, madhwa, and the other names you mentioned, you said you would keep away.. thats what i mean by clannish belief

BTW tell me why should bernie madoff be given 114 years in prison... 114??? he is already 60?

Is there some secret to immortality that americans know?...

RN,
After due diligence, I understand now that a clannish belief is like a jewish God. Am I right? If so yes, I do not believe in a personal God.

Sorry for the tube light taking longer to come on. ...

Yes, I HAVE NEVER EVER TAKEN PERSONAL LOAN @17% in my life. Nor will I ever do so. My last auto loan was 5.25%.

Yes, I HAVE NEVER EVER INVESTED IN MF CHARGING 6% in fees per year.

YES, most of my Indian rupees are in money market account and SBI paying me 3.5%.

I do not understand what you mean by clannish.

The Big Bang theory is only remotely connected ( by billions of years)to earth.

Yash,

Whatever be the nature of greivance against any bank, just do one thing

Email to the HDFC BANK OMBUDSMAN how you felt cheated as a customer and

Send a CC to the RBI OMBUDSMAN

HDFC Bank will promptly reply

Nowdays HDFC bank cheats a lot i believe if customers have to get their housing loan interest rates reduced they have to pay a special fee of RS 17000 odd and then they will look to conver it to market rates... my friend who was furious about this junked the bank and went to SBI which is a sleepy giant even ombudsman cannot shake them. LOL

Hope the chairman is reading this and also RBI....

hsg loan

Dear amitgarv, some of PSU banks do have some arrangements to provide loans to retired people but these r in the form of personal loans & not as home loan.

There is more to it, even if any bank is agree to provide loan to u, for ur pension amount of 8K per month, the max. EMI u may afford, is 3K to 3.2K only. For that EMI amount the max. loan amount `ll be 3-3.5L Rs. only.

I don`t know this much loan amount is sufficient to ur needs or not.

Plz. search in some PSU banks for the deal if it`s possible at all.

Thanks

Ashal ...

Depends on where you are getting your funds from....If you have some savings go-ahead since personal loans have a high ROI...It is always advisable to prepay the same despite the fore closure charges. Normaly the investment avenues that are available are not able to give better retyrn than the ROI on Personal Loan....
