I have said this before... As far as lyrics go I never thought kannada could be very good... Well Jayant Kaikini proved language is no barrier... Nobody else can come up with such beautiful lyrics I agree and music is the best... But Sonu Nigan shone more because of these 2... LOL......
and the other stanza alternates.. excuse for the lousy spellings in the lyrics.. i pasted the from the wrong site... will post the best lyrics for this.. this site is stupid to write spellings like this. have to rush.
REMEMBER MUNGARU MALEYE is the best song, the best lyrics, the best singer is sonu and the best actor is Ganesh...
Kananda is the most beautiful language....
Ganesh of mungaru maleye is my favorite
And the lyrics were composed by divine inspiration nothing less.. my favorite stanza.. this is my ringtone too
yav hoonygalenda yav nellavoo hasira guvado
yar sparshadinda yar manavoo hasiya guvado
yar usiral yaara hesaro yari baridaro
yav priti hoovu yaar hrudayadallana luvado
yaar prem pujige mudipoo yaroo ballaro
mungaru malaye yenu ninna hoonygal lile
...
His dialogue delivery is unique and truly amazing... Although overall I would say Puneeth is better... But when it comes to pure dialogue Ganesh towers over everybody else... Oh! BTW my fav for dialogues and over all will always be Rajkumar... He too had a unique style... But yes I would toss between the 2 for dialogues... The 3 movies I watched most often no wonder are Shankar Guru, Milana and Mungaru Male in that order... I got another DVD of shankar guru since the first one conked off with repeated viewings... LOL......
i am in love with mungaru male the song, the movie and the actor.. He is the greatest actor.. GREATEST.. ganesh is the king....
To me Sonu Nigam is not a patch on Manna Dey... They kinda songs he has sung I bet nobody can sing... To me he was best and for the sheer lilting voice Hemanta Kumar Mukherjee comes next and then is Kishore Kumar for sheer exuberance... Cheers......
Mungaaru male could be sung by anyone... and still sound good... LOL.. One of the best ever song I heard I must say... But to me the music of the title song is truly the best and beats any other in any language by a mile... Cheers......
To me from the list I would strike off Lagaan and Jaane Tu but keep the rest... Then again I would add a few of my own...
1. Taare Zameen Par
2. Munnabhai MBBS
3. Lage Raho Munna Bhai
4. Race
5. Bunty aur Babli
6. Khosla Ka Ghosla
7. Dhoom
8. Dhoom 2
9. Black
10. Sarkar
11. Sarkar Raj
12. Gharam Masaala... Although nothing beats Shaukeen in this genre esp what with Ashok Kumar changing glassing while the song... Jab bhi Koi kangana Chanke... To me the best comedy sequence I ever seen...
13. Bluffmaster
14. Parineeta for the sheer beauty of the film again
15. Jab We Met
16. Bheja fry
17. Rock on
18. Ek Chalis Ki Last Local
19. Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!
20. Aamir... Although few scenes are dirty.
21. Dev D
22. A Wednesday
and above all BHAGBAN for the sheer chemistry between big b and Hema malini... No.2 would be Khosla Ka Ghosla No.3 A Wednesday... and No. 4 Welcome to Sajjanpur... Cheers...
BTW here are the complete lyrics of the song from Shaukeen an extremely hummable song unlike Jai Ho... Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha... ROFL...
jabbhi koi kangana khanke payal chanak jaye
soyi soyi dil ki dhadkan sulag sulag jaye
karu jatan lakh magar man (machal machal jaye)-2)-2
jabhi koi kangana bole
(jalak gaye rang jahan par ulaj gaye naina re naina)-2
paaye nahin yeh man banjara kahin bhi chaina re chaina
mere dil ki payaas adhuri mujhe bhatkaye
jabbhi koi kangana khanke payal chanak jaye
jabbhi koi kangana
kali kali jhume bhavanra agan pe jal jaye patanga-2
chanda ko chakor nihare (isi mein sukh paye)-2
jivan se yeh ras ka bandhan toda nahin jaye
(jabbhi koi kangana khanke payal chanak jaye
soyi soyi dil ki dhadkan sulag sulag jaye
karu jatan lakh magar man (machal machal jaye)-2)-2
jabhi koi kangana bole

Oh this is a great song... but its too too too sad.. i dont like sad songs.. .
I dont mind emotional songs.
How can sonu nigam be useless... he is a genius... how much emotion in the songs of mungaru male??? You dismiss it?????
NOT ON!!...
Yesterday while watching Big Boss I heard Kambli sing kasme Vaade from Upkaar sung by Manna Dey... To me that song beats any song sung today and he is to me the best film play back singer India has ever heard... Through sheer hard work although KK did not need to put any effort... All songs today barring the ones I mentioned before feom Veer Zaara are no patch on this beautifully composed song... Incidentally I went to the concert by him sometime back... Just 500 bucks while a concert by a useless singer like Sonu Nigam`s costs 2500 bucks!!! What Irony... BTW my fav no.1 song again by Manna Dey from Anand Zindagi kaisi hai paheli... Cheers... Oh! Here are the lyrics for the Kasme Vaade song...
Kasame Vaade Pyaar Vafaa Sab, Baate.N Hai.N Baato.N Kaa Kyaa
Koi Kisii Kaa Nahii.N Ye Jhuuthe, Naate Hai.N Naato.N Kaa Kyaa
Kasame Vaade Pyaar Vafaa Sab, Baate.N Hai.N Baato.N Kaa Kyaa
Hogaa Masiihaa ...
Hogaa Masiihaa Saamane Tere
Phir Bhii Na Tuu Bach Paayegaa
Teraa Apanaa.A.A.A Aa.A.A.A
Tera Apana Khuun Hii Aakhir
Tujhako Aag Lagaayegaa
Aasamaan Me.N ...
Aasamaan Me U.Dane Vaale Mittii Me.N Mil Jaayegaa
Kasame Vaade Pyaar Vafaa Sab, Baate.N Hai.N Baato.N Kaa Kyaa
Sukh Me.N Tere ...
Sukh Me.N Tere Saath Chale.Nge
Dukh Me.N Sab Mukh Mo.De.Nge
Duniyaa Vaale ...
Duniyaa Vaale Tere Banakar
Teraa Hii Dil To.De.Nge
Dete Hai.N ...
Dete Hai.N Bhagavaan Ko Dhokhaa, Inasaa.N Ko Kyaa Chho.De.Nge
Kasame Vaade Pyaar Vafaa Sab, Baate.N Hai.N Baato.N Kaa Kyaa...
Ramki,
Shed all doubts and watch WAKE UP SID
Ranbir Kapoor is so lovable in that movie... he is just too good....
When she is hearing old hindi film songs belonging to my grandma`s times he is totally deaf to her taste... watch that scene. LOL...
You are wrong Ramki, these days hindi movies are best they have ever been. Dont be stuck up.
Start with movies like Lagaan,Swades,Wake up Sid,New York,Welcome to Sajjanpur, Jaane tu ya janne na.
Go get the CDs and watch these and I `ll give you more names.....
hi Ramki,
earlier we have good directors like bharathi raja/bhagya raja/balachander.. we miss these quality in tamil films even now. only maniratnam is there,. what r ur comments
regards...
Dear radhika......
To be honest I am not a great lover of hindi movies nor english movies........
Moreover nowadays hindi movies are sub-standard and concentrating only on glamour.....
So I don`t think it`s worth watching hindi movies.....U might question me Slumdog millianaire is a good hindi movie......Yes....ofcourse......But again it`s directed by english movie director and that`s why it`s without glamour....ROFL...
And i will have to get Ramki started on hindi movies.... last time he watched DIL BOLE for the cricket and dint understand anything excep the cricket portion.
Now i am geting him started on how to go about tackling the Hindi trash....
