Stock is ok and due to budget factor markets will be firm and U should get Ur purchase price.

A word though......one should always make staggered purchases as one can never be sure on a stocks movement unless one has insider quality information. This way if the stock goes up one would make gains and if it declines one`s purchase price would be much lower.A weighted average purchase price is what I follow i.e. buy little more on declines on all good stocks........on weak stocks where one is taking a chance just exit!Regards.Jd....

There have been cases where Promoters, Brokers after doing scams and committing fraud are roaming free. There is rigging of Stocks through Broker/Promoter Nexus, Circular Trading, Balance Sheet Manipulation, Merging the listing Company into some other promoter entity where Promoter has more stake etc . Many innocent investors have committed suicides and these white collar crimes are like any Terrorist attacks carried out against the country. We have recently come to know that one Investor Protection & Redressal Forum and one Investors Grievance Forum which is working for the welfare of the Minority Investors and get justice for Minority Shareholders. If any one of you have information about any Manipulation committed by Promoters, Brokers or is not satisfied with the Corporate Governance Norms or has been duped by any Stock Broker or any other entity, you many contact sunil(dot)sharma(at)investorprotection(dot)in. You may visit investorprotection(dot)in web site for more details.

Remember your voice only can help in improving the system and bringing these culprits to books. You have Voting Rights and are one of the owners. Its high time we unite as a country.

Multiplex major, PVR has plans to invest approximately Rs 2.50 billion in the next 18 months to expand its exhibition, movie production and bowling businesses, reports Economic Times.

PVR managing director Ajay Bijli said the company plans to invest about Rs 1.50 billion in the movie exhibition business alone. The firm will unveil about 57 screens across 10 properties and it will have 165 screens, compared to the current 108, by the end of this financial year, he added. Alongside an additional amount of Rs 1 billion would be spent on movie production and bowling alleys brand Blu-O-Rhythm & Bowl, he noted.

It is learnt that PVR`s expansion plans would be funded by the capital earlier raised from private equity players and through debt and equity dilution, which could be in the form of preferential shares, in the future

5 Jun 2009, 1034 hrs IST, ET Bureau
MUMBAI: Shares of multipex operators were back in the limelight after the long-standing row between them and Bollywood producers over revenue
sharing came to an end as the two parties reached a deal.

According to media reports, the two parties reached a consensus over the rationalisation of revenue sharing for forthcoming films after about four months of negotiations.

Media reports suggested that the final settlement has been reached for a 50, 42, 35 and 30 per cent revenue sharing for the first, second, third and fourth week respectively for all movies and 52, 45, 38 and 30 percent respectively for all blockbuster movies that manage to collect more than Rs 17.5 crore at the six leading multiplex chains. The top multiplex chains in India comprise PVR, Big Cinemas, Inox, Fame, Cinemax and Fun.
