Arshiya International Ltd (Arshiya) has informed BSE that the Company has received the formal approval from the Board of Approval (BOA) of the SEZs for setting up its Free Trade and Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) in Khurja (UP). Arshiyas FTWZ in Khurja is being developed in the heart of the manufacturing hub in the NCR and is the second of the five FTWZs being set up by the Company at different locations in the country. Arshiyas first FTWZ at Mumbai has already received the formal approval of the BOA in December last year which is expected to be the first operational FTWZ, planned to be commissioned by Sep. 2009.
The grant of conversion of the in-principle approval into a formal approval was recommended by the Board of Approval of the Special Economic zones (SEZs) which works under Ministry of Commerce, Government of India at their meeting held on February 23, 2009.
Arshiyas upcoming FTWZ in Khurja is very strategically located connecting the Western & Eastern freight corridors with the manufacturing hub of India in the NCR. As part of a fully integrated Infrastructure, Arshiya plans to additionally invest in creating a dedicated Rail Terminal with the FTWZ in Khurja that would allow pan-India connectivity for its customers through its dedicated Rail Infrastructure service that began operations earlier this month.
The Company would be investing into its Khurja FTWZ in a phased manner. The first phase is expected to be operational by Dec. 2009.
Mr. Ajay S Mittal, Chairman & Managing Director, Arshiya International Ltd, expressed satisfaction about the said developments where the Company has obtained formal approval for its FTWZs in JNPT and NCR. This would improve cost effectiveness to the customers, especially in these difficult times according to him....

Arshiya International Ltd has informed BSE that Arshiya Rail Infrastructure Ltd (Arshiya Rail), a wholly owned subsidiary of Arshiya International Ltd, commenced Phase I of its rail operations as of February 02, 2009.
Arshiya Rail initiated its pan-India rail operations with the deployment of its first of the planned 30 rakes in Phase 1 for Vedanta Aluminium Ltd earlier today. Arshiya Rail Infrastructure is providing unique and customised rail solutions with innovative and industry / product specific designed containers for large corporations with sizeable evacuation requirements in India.
Senior officials of Vedanta Aluminium Ltd. and Arshiya Rail were present on the occasion.
According to Mr. Ajay S Mittal, Chairman & Managing Director of Arshiya International Ltd, with the commencement of Rail operations, Arshiya International has moved one step closer to being the first integrated supply chain & logistics infrastructure solution Company in India. Arshiya International Ltd has informed BSE that Arshiya Transport, a subsidiary of Arshiya International Ltd, has commenced elaborate Road Transport Services managed from its offices in Dubai. A fleet of 1,250 owned and leased vehicles and a similar number of trailers will be on the road during 2009 and 2010.
Five blue chip Companies have already entered into contracts with Arshiya Transport for their Middle East transportation requirements which will be catered by more than 75% of the above planned fleet in the next two years.
The fleet will be managed by Arshiya Transports own Transport Management System, which can be linked to customers IT systems and will also be equipped with GPS.
Arshiya Transports services will be complimented by its sister Companies. This completes Arshiya Internationals ability to manage and optimize the complete global supply chain for its customers in these areas....
