The jail was supposed to be converted to a part when S.M.Krishna was in power... Nothing happened... In came Dharam Singh... Nothing happened... Then came HDK... Nothing happened and then came Yeddi... Not only did Freedom park materialize... It was truly amazing... Bit then again when you drive past it you hit K.R.Circle which was a mess as far as traffic went... You needed to wait 4-6 signals to cross K.R.Circle via Freedom Park... Today you just Zip past it... Signal Free it has become and all this in 3 Months flat... I was truly amazed and even today find it hard to believe somebody could do this in 3 months!!! My vote in future ? Always BJP... Koi Shaque ? Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha... ROFL...

PS: Koi Shaque is a straight lift from the movie Ghulami with one of my fav actors Mithun Chakraborty uttering it... Cheers......

When Jaswant Singh was sacked on day one I thought it was a dignified exit... Cuase he quoted his father, blah blah blah... But a few days later he was busy attacking all and sundry in the BJP... Unlike him look at the way Shobha has dealt with her exit... Absolutely dignified... I truly hope she one day becomes CM of karnataka... She deserves to... To me I see 2 very solid CM candidates for Karnataka... Shobha from BJP and DKS from CONgress... She signifies what a simple life is just like Mamta Banerjee does only that she is a 100 times more capable than Mamta the rubble raiser... Cheers......

Shame on the men in Yedi`s cabinet.. the lone woman Shobha was treated badly... hey ghanshyam, teach yedi`s detractors a good lesson....

17 Nov 2009 09:40

I believe the reddy brothers who wanted to dethrone Yedi are in fact hand in glove with the YSR`s son.. at least thats what some TV programs i saw hinted.... so you know why Yedi was linked with that Shoba and given a warning....

Congress plays too much assembly level politics.

Yedi is trying to do his best for the folks of Karanataka.... at least we dint hear his name before he stood for election.. without cheap publicity gimmicks he came... who would cry in front of the camera.. which man would tell me? He felt genuinlely sad coz he has so many ambitions for Bangalore... look at the lovely central jail premises.. GREEN GREEN GREEN.. just take a look outside CENTRAL JAIL.. the other day i was driving that way and happened to notice the lovely lawn.... he wants to make the jail birds feel good.... :)...

If she had a single point agenda FOR supporting BJP I can understand. But when you say it is to support BJP one can turn around and claim your single point agenda is to denounce BJP... Simple as that...

As for BJP well I too support it for the way...
1. They have handled communal flare ups in Karnataka.
2. The way they have collected money for flood relief in karnataka... A 1000 crores... in 5 days... While Andhra has not even crossed 50 crores!!!
3. They have improved roads in Bangalore and relaid most...
4. They have ensured power supply even when they have had to buy costly power...
5. Reva gets a 5 year no road tax in Bangalore...
6. They provide for cheaper subsidized loans to farmers...
7. They have begun relocation of people in flood prone areas and have managed to rope in 3rd parties like the mutts and corporate world...
8. They have started upgrading rural infrastructure....
9. They have introduced Volvo buses in a big way where ever possible and thus are probably no.1 in terms of providing efficient transport in cities and and between them too...
10. Metro will probably be made in the least possible time only because we have BJP at power...

So I gave 10 reasons... I cannot think of one reason why I can support CONgress who gave just 10,000 bucks for flood relief and called a big press conference to announce this and can only crack jokes at flood relief rather than do something about it... As for JDS it is a father-sons party and the less said about it the better......

Dear radhika nandlal, You are like a "cowboy" who shoots first and thinks later.

Proven technology to harness the solar energy was just not available all these years. Even today pv cells are prohibitively expensive. Cost of producing 1 MW of electricity from PV cells even today is twice the amount required for coal based electric plant.

Do you know that Rewa electric car in Delhi costs about Rs 4 lac and if you wish to put a solar panel which can provide only fraction of electric charge the cost will go up by one lac. By the way Rewa is produced in Bangalore. This car gets maximum tax benefits in Delhi and therefore priced cheaper than any other Indian city. I am contemplating buying this car next year. Buy this car from your stock market profit and "Go Green"

Yes now time has come for alternate energy and we all must support it. Regards....

Dear radhika nandlal, Your single point agenda is to sing for BJP. Good luck.

Dear rudra, Thanks for taking the discussion to a serious level. I will appreciate if you could provide more information about the filter and any other point for the running of the RWH system. I am the president of RWA & we have some 48 houses where RWH is installed besides one large RWH for our colony. I would like to improve functioning of society RWH system.

Regards to Radhika for bringing Rain water harvesting in lime light even if it was to sing Jai-Ho for BJP. & you for sharing information....

Let me try to answer your question on a serious note Radhika.

I am in Bangalore for 7 years now. I have seen both common people and the so called educated software engineers etc. both.

I would come to common people later. Let me take software engineers into consideration first. This is what they do.

1. In office, they throw all the waste in the waste bin very particularly.

2. On the road, they throw bus tickets, Coke cans etc. smartly on the roads. Many times they throw these things on the road while travelling in an Auto Rickshaw without bothering where it lands etc.

3. In the shopping malls and at the eateries like Pizza Hut etc, they never create any mess and are very particular about using the waste bin.

4. When they go abroad, they never throw the bus tickets etc. on the road.

5. At their cozy drawing room, they criticize the government that the city is getting dirtier every day and govt. is doing nothing. Mind you, this scenario would have not changed if there was Congress govt. than BJP.

6. They discuss intensely that the awareness among commong people regarding cleanliness is very poor in India and Govt. should do something to improve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7. Environment pollution is their pastime discussion topic. Nothing serious and official about it.

8. Residents of especially apartments think that, if one borewell goes dry, we shall dig another. As long as they get water daily, they don`t care whether the water bed is 6 feet higher or lower. Neither they understand the significance of the water bed going higher. They weigh among the options of buying water in case their own borewell goes dry. Not sure if they co-relate the availability of water with the height of water bed.

Now coming to common people. If they see so called educated people doing all these, they tend to copy. Nothing more to be said on this front.

So, what I wanted to say is, the politics in India has nothing to do with especially something that is not visible e.g. water bed below the ground. If rice is given at Rs.2/- per kilo, colour tv is given for free, the voters fly from one camp to another based on these bonus announcements.

Thanks,
Rudra
