That is the whole point... I am doing what I want to do and do not need anybody endorsing it... The govt can take care of people... LOL... As for the other post of yours... Look at my reply to tally... He sure has a bias against the BJP and replied to that comment... But with your post you painted all political parties with the same brush and I tried to make you understand why I felt BJP was different... To that end I gave the example of cooking gas... It took them 3 years... To accomplish that and they did... All it took for the useless CONgress govt is one day to dismantle the whole stuff...
The flood has happened and food is being distributed... I agree govt can`t do it everywhere, but they are doing their best and it shows and help sure is needed from others which many of my friends too are involved... Now coming to housing and re-location, wait another 6 months and pass your judgement after all we need relocation in CONgress ruled Andhra and BJP ruled Karnataka... What I have seen until now with Andhra shows how useless that govt is... But in Karnataka I still see a ray of hope after all I have seen tremendous improvement in Bangalore since BJP formed the govt and that is what gives me that hope... Else we might as well shift base to US... Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha... ROFL......
Keep doing the good work mate.
Just one line, does any party endorse what you are doing? This line is not against any particular party. Hope you are able to see the point that I am trying to make.
Regards,
Rudra...
I feel you looked at my message with the mind set that I am pronouncing Congress and more importantly denouncing BJP. But I clearly said I am not doing that.
The flood has happened already more than a month back. And I would wait another 5 months as you suggested and make another trip to the same place where I have been. Once I am back from there, I would put those photos online and put that link here for everyone to see. Hope that sounds fair.
My dear friend, the gas connection is not what these flood hit areas need. It is a pure need of us, the city dwellers. The people there need regular food, more importantly drinking water and clothes. If any government takes 6 months for that, god save those flood hit people. Actually that is right. God is the only one whom they can believe and face all these tremendous adversities and still smile.
If I was a frustrated guy who wanted to crib and just crib, I would not be making the trip to the reality mate. All I say is, a reality remains a reality whether it is looked at through tainted glass or a clear one.
You can sing for BJP or Congress or whatever...I would continue singing for these people who are affected through the tremendous adversities year after year. And I would continue doing my bit within the limited capabilities I have.
Regards,
Rudra...
Coming back to your comment about not sure me having visited the flood hit ares... Be damn sure I haven`t nor do I intend to... What I do currently for ensuing some kids get education is more than enough... Apart from that I do look after many stray dogs... with care... When a dog litters I make sure she gets to eat some healthy pedegree that costs quite a bit... But then again I do not feel sad or anything when some swine mows down puppies driving his car at breakneck speed... But then when a puppy disappears after a while but I do manage to spot it somewhere else I sure am damn happy and that brings a smile on my face... As far as flood affected areas go... Well there are guys like you to do the job... My job is to help a little in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem and to that end to a lot to care about strays... Wonder if you ever petted a stray ? Well I do all the time... I sure see them giving me unconditional love and I am happy doing my job and sure need no publicity... Well in fact I gave up a plush job paying me a couple of lakhs a month just to do this... Well to many I maybe a fool for having given up my job... But to myself all I know is I love what I do... And that means a lot to me... More than what probably can mean everything to you... Cheers......
Hmmm... So you cannot for your life distinguish between an asset and a liability ! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha... ROFL......
Dear rudra ji,
Well said & I am in full agreement of your views.
Our nation`s asset is its democracy and liability is its elected Governments
Regards...
Look there is a perceptible difference in the way relief work is being done in Andhra and Karnataka... In Karnataka there were many food centers... in 100s... While Andhra had in 10s... This is only part 1.. Part 2 that is cleaning work... In Andhra I saw a guy with pushcart throwing DDT powder around... While it was much better organized in Karnataka... Fact that a Minister went over to bring a swamiji from Mantralaya which is in Andhra speaks volumes of inaction in Andhra...
Then comes part 3 or relocation... Funds are being tied up in Karnataka and sadly nothing is done in Andhra... Like I said even before 1000 crores from the Centre could come Karnataka collected a 1000 crores in 5 days thanks to the zeal shown by the CM and his cabinet... The work is expected to start soon... In Karnataka... Forget any work in Andhra... Again look at the way both the CMs have behaved during the crisis... The clown in Andhra is talking about naming 2 IAS officers to monitor... While so much is done in Karnataka... The karnataka CM for re-construction has gone around and spoken to mutts and corporate heads to look after the house construction and a plan also is ready with a house built on a 30*50 site with some space in front to tie the cattle... Now tell me what is happening in Andhra...
To say all parties are same is ridiculous... The examples that are concrete can only be given in 6 months time... So wait it out rather crib... No 2 parties are the same....
TO show BJP is different... Let me give one example... When NDA of which BJP was a big constituent came to power it took them only 3 years to make sure that a new gas connection could be got in a week`s time... A gas refil came in a day and was tom tommed via the media... Once CONgress came back what happened ? Now to get a new gas connection is a dream just like when CONgress was there before and as for a refil well it takes anywhere from 8 days to 15 depending on the agency... Now after this example if you still think along the same lines all I can say is some frustrated guys who had the same idea like urs ensured that the petroleum minister Ram Naik for all the good work he did as far as cooking gas was concerned ensured that he lost 2 consecutive elections !!! Cheers and stop looking through tainted glasses......
Dear Callahan,
Not sure you made a trip to those flood hit areas yourself yet. But I did. And my feeling is, these numbers as in 1000 crores and 50 crores are mere numbers. If you wish, I can invite you to some online photos taken by the group of people with whom I made the trip to North Karnataka just few days back. Those photos would tell you the story. The situation of those flood hit people are just the same whether in Karnataka or in Andhra.
Believe me, I am not trying pronounce or denounce any party here. I am basically from West Bengal and you know the cyclone called Aila hit the state few months back. There it is a different party altogher than Congress and BJP. Yet, even after months, the situation of those flood hit people are just the same. I am part of an NGO which works with the help of RK Mission (I am not trying to advertise myself or my work here) and hence I know the real story of the ground.
In my view, all the parties are just the same. The common people are always the sufferer. I don`t go by the improvement of the cities. Only few thousand square kilometer of area are covered under cities in India. Rest are villages, remote villages. Improving the cities is easy work to do. Show me one party which has contributed to the cause of bringing 60% of Indians who live below the poverty line. Don`t give me stats, show me an example please. Because I know the stories of the real ground, I already said.
Rest all are show-off to me, whichever party it is.
Thanks,
Rudra...
your views.but for me she was the pioneer.the city of chennai are indebted to her foresight...

I know some rich mining families in Bangalore who live very ostentatiously... so you know there is a lot of wealth there... couple of times i asked them how this sudden wealth and they turned their nose up....
It is not illegal mining actually they have permits and they do it... Just like others too mine there... So how can it be stopped ??? Cheers......
Well all you do is shoot dummy bullets without thinking... Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha... ROFL...
The fact that there is so much to be done to tap solar energy is the reason why we should invest in RD and govt should be helpful in proving tax relief and lower interest rates to companies Cause it would in the long run be cheaper than Nuclear energy and would be available on tap and also India is placed strategically to make maximum use of solar energy unlike so many other developed countries...
Yes today it costs 3 times in terms of investment and power generation compared to Nuclear Energy but in case India moves quickly and does some real efficient work in this field it can become cheaper and also remember the best part is you can have small villages lighted up with solar thereby making distribution losses nil... In a country like India that itself will make Solar Energy cheaper than any other type simply because distribution losses in some parts of India is as high as 80%!!!
