Jubilant Organosys announced that it would be raising funds up to Rs 5 billion.
The company further announced that it would be hiving off application polymers division and consumer products division.
It has further decided that it would change the name of the company from `Jubilant Organosys` to `Jubilant Life Sciences`.
The above decisions were taken in its board of directors` meeting held today.
Jubilant Organosys is a manufacturer in defined product segments, including select APIs (e.g., Carbamazepine and Citalopram), Pyridine and its derivatives, Solid polyvinyl acetate, Vinyl Pyridine Latex and Organic Intermediates (e.g., Ethyl Acetate and Acetic Anhydride

Each option shall entitle the holder to subscribe to 5 equity shares of Re. 1 each at a price of Rs. 221.60 per share. Further, pursuant to exercise of 600 options, the Committee has approved transfer by Jubilant Employees Welfare Trust to the Option holder, of 3000 equity shares of Re. 1 each at an exercise price of Rs. 201.33 each.
