Shoppers Stop Ltd has informed BSE that the has entered into an MOU with Amalgamated Bean Coffee Trading Company Ltd (ABCTCL) which will permit ABCTCL to operate Cafe Coffee Dat (CCD) from the stores owned and / or operated by Shoppers Stop. As per this understanding, the existing cafes operated by Shoppers Stop shall be converted into the Cafe Coffee Day formats, over the next few months. ABCTCL shall also operate cafes in upcoming Shoppers Stop stores to provide an enhanced customer shopping experience.
The Company has issed a Press Release dated February 05, 2009 titled "Shoppers Stop Ltd and Cafe Coffee Day to enhanced the customer shopping experience" in this regards....

Shoppers Stop Ltd has informed BSE that Gateway Multichannel Retail (India) Ltd., a joint venture of Hypercity Retail (India) Ltd and Shoppers Stop Ltd, shall wind down and discontinue its catalogue retail operations under the Hypercity-Argos brand.
Gateway Retail operates catalogue, stores and internet retail, under franchise from Home Retail Group. A decision to discontinue the Hypercity-Argos multi-channel retail business operations, following the initial two year trial development period, was taken mutually by Gateway and Home Retail Group, as the business did not meet the planned performance levels, to support the investments required in the current economic climate....
