When I show you a blank paper (Kora Kagaz), how can you tell whether it is good or bad?

Show me something written in that paper, then I shall tell you good or bad....

Weak demand shutting down refineries

WILMINGTON, Del. — Refineries from New Mexico to New Jersey are under severe economic pressure because of falling demand for fuel, with a number of facilities shutting down in recent months.

Valero Energy Corp., which shuttered a major refinery over the summer, said Friday it would permanently close its Delaware City oil refinery and lay off 550 workers.

It is the largest refinery in the United States to close this year.

Refineries in the Northeast are particularly vulnerable because many are older, operate less efficiently and must compete with gasoline imported from Europe.

The Delaware City refinery, where workers were notified of the closing Friday, lost about million every day this year, said Valero spokesman Bill Day.

Demand for fuel has been falling for some time and the recession has made things worse, squeezing profit margins for refiners everywhere.

Refiners are pulling capacity offline and are now operating at levels more consistent with the aftermath of a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico.

El Paso, Texas-based Western Refining Inc. announced earlier this month that it would close its Bloomfield, N.M., facility, putting 100 people out of work.

Valero, based in San Antonio, said in September that it would idle two units in Delaware City, cutting about 150 jobs. Last month, the company said it would cut another 100 jobs at its Paulsboro, N.J. refinery by the end of the year.

announcement came just days after Sunoco Inc. said it would indefinitely idle its Eagle Point facility, which employs about 400 workers in New Jersey.

In June Valero shut its refinery in Aruba, which had a capacity of about 275,000 barrels a day.

The Delaware City refinery had a capacity of 210,00 barrels a day.

Valero chairman and CEO Bill Klesse said the company had sought a buyer for the Delaware facility, but found no takers.

Nothing is good or bad? Only greedyness will follow the person. All of us aware that this is pure trading stock which moves in between 0.55 to 0.88Rs. So everyone wants to buy this at 0.55 & sell at 0.85Rs. If it is near to FC then the operators & owners get down the stock till 0.30 Rs. because heavy sell off (Fears in mind)& again buy it for making large profit. (if it is going upwards then as per the rule some one wants to dampen the shares. If FC is not near then the first range is 0.55 to 0.69Rs. & if it falls below 0.55 then range is 0.42 to 0.55Rs. So operators play there game. Mr. Ram Bhole is also one of the operator & he leaves this counter by selling stock at higher price at 0.86 Rs. as he know nothing can happened. So sell the stock. Sell... Sell... Sell.......

Fundamental Question about the company

Posted by : stockmirchi
Price when posted : BSE: Rs 0.57 ( -3.39 % )

Hi Nishy,

The company has raised funds through equity as it is a set up project. This usually takes 5 to 6 years to complete the project of this magnitude, Cals has been sanctioned more than 1000 Acres of Land in Haldia by WB Govt. All environment clearences received. Now the Fencing and leveling work almost completing. . The State Govt has also signed an MOU with CALS Refinery Ltd. for setting up a crude oil refinery complex in the PCPIR with a capacity to process 5 MMTPA of blend crude in Phase I of the project and will consist of process units, utilities and offsites. These facilities will be installed by transplanting a Bayer Oil refinery at Ingolstatd, Germany and Petro Canada Refinery at Canada to Haldia.
The Fendamentals are excellent. but do remember that this investment should be for long term eg: more than 3 years.
Usually the start up project takes 5 to 6 years to actually start the production But... Cals would take only 18 Months to max 20 months to start up production as it is re-Installing the refinery in Haldia-India (BayerOil refinery and Petro Canada Refinery after dismentaling it in the respective contries) Please read my previous comments to under the details which will surely clear ur doubts.
for complete information try to read atleast next 10 to 15 pages on this Board....
