The world's second most populous country is facing a dual problem when it comes to employing its population. The first problem is the sheer shortage of jobs. 17 million people are entering the workforce every year but only 5.5 million jobs are being created. The second problem, a clear mismatch between the skill set of the workforce versus what will be required 5 years from now.
EY, FICCI and NASSCOM have today released a report titled 'The Future Jobs in India - a 2022 Perspective.' Businesses across the spectrum were asked to provide insights into the future of the job market in India by 2022.
